Has anyone tried Zoiper or any other SIP client? I was hoping it might allow me to run my VOIP service in headless mode but as soon as it gets minimized it loses connectivity with the VOIP server.

Does anyone know how to get voip working on bb10 headless?

Waiting on Bria and Taki. That's about all we can do. Wait.

I use Tera-Phone Lite and it work great. Your other option is the Bria and this client has great quality sound but it costs $7.99.

I use Bria for voip and it works great.
Just a few things to note,
if you use a password to lock your phone, when there is an incoming call, the phone would ring but you must unlock the phone before you can pick up the call.

The Bria app must be running or minimized to an Active Frame for the calls to come in; connection to your voip server is lost when your app is closed.

You can paste clipboard items into the dailer, very convenient.

The contact list on the Bria app is not pulling in all my contacts from my BB contact book. I would say it has about 80% of my contacts. But I don't think this is a Bria app issue, it's has more to with how BB is handling contacts when the request for the contact list is made by an app. My contact list in Skype (Android port), and Fongo (Android Port) is also missing the exact same set of contacts. I can't seem to find any rhyme or reason why those particular contacts are not passing through to the Bria or other apps' contact list.

More info on missing contacts can be found here: https://support.counterpath.com/resp...ria-blackberry

Anyone else have this issue of missing contacts in an app? WhatsApp (Native BB) seems to be able to pull my entire contact book, no missing contacts; I'm not an expert on this but they seem to be using a different method of accessing the contact book, maybe because WhatsApp is integrated with the Hub?

Bria seems to be a Native BB app, but maybe using a different programming language and not using the WhatsApp method of pulling contacts.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

What is also interesting is that Bria has softphone entry fields which appear in the BlackBerry Contacts app, but are otherwise inaccessible (when a contact with one, or more softphone entries is edited within BlackBerry Contacts, the softphone fields are nowhere to be seen).

Don't see how bria is any different from taki. I've been waiting for taki to go headless since I had a PlayBook way back.

Strong encrypted calls - TLS & SRTP with HD Audio G722 and OPUS 48 khz. We are using Bria since 2 years to secure our voice communication and as a better replacement for landline services.

Btw, Bria is the most reliable voice app for mobile devices delivering the best quality. Please keep in mind you also need a reliable service, otherwise the best app won't solve the issues.

c-sip simple android app works in headless mode if you choose the option in the app to register a notification. is annoying though but you know it is working. Out going calls were great but incoming never worked for me.

I use Grandstream for android on my passport. It works great. You don't even have to keep it on as an active app. It pulls all contacts from the phone too. It's free. No patching required. Can't pick up calls on lockscreen though.

Only grandstream from Snap worked headless for me in my Passport, if someone knows another one let me know.

Already tried Bria and Taki from Blackberry World; Zoiper (didn't even login to the server), CsipSimple and Denwa from Snap; so far only Grandstream Wave from Snap worked headless and could receive calls with the app closed, all the rest worked but minimized.
