I got the notification for my wife's z10 when I connected to link this AM. Have downloaded and it's installing now. My Q10 is not getting the notification.

Yes - factory unlocked from Blackberry. I'm in the continental US.

Turns out that wifi calling is _not_ working... :-(

You could have saved yourself some time and anguish. We already know both things--factory unlocked phones are getting the update, and that since it's not TMO sanctioned, WFC goes kaput.

    What is the build number?

Download Noted, my 5-star rated, native BB10 notepad app.

So if I have a unlocked Z30 on the Tmobile network that I didn't buy from Tmobile then I shouldn't expect the update which lets you use wifi calling?

There is no update for the Z30 that lets you use wifi calling. But if one comes out, and that's a very big if, you could get it, yes.

Since nobody has an update that allows wifi calling, I can't see how you can say definitely that the Z30 won't have wifi calling.

It should be an OS issue, not a phone issue, so I would expect any BlackBerry on BB10 to support wifi calling.

BlackBerry can have an update ready, but TMO would have to green light its release (modifier's post in that other thread explained it pretty well.) I don't see them doing it for a device they don't even carry. If the Z30 comes to TMO, then WFC will come as well. Until then, people are SOL. This also applies to the Q5. People are using it on TMO, but no WFC.

Same reason the Nexus5 and MotoX do not have WiFi calling. WiFi calling is tied to the phone and has to be cleared by TMo...isn't so much just an app you can download.

It's a support issue. Tmo could easily green light WFC on multiple BB10 phones but cannot support devices they don't sell. That's understandable since support costs money and no one supports stuff they don't sell. Pair that with the Z30 still in lockdown under VZW and it's not likely Tmo would be able to do anything until that contract opens up.

If WFC is crucial then a Q10 or Z10 are your current two options. If having a Z30 is more important then you'll have to forget WFC unless of course Tmo starts selling the device and can support it. If that happens then an unlocked/unbranded Z30 would eventually pick up WFC just like the carrier branded/locked version.
