I was on vacation in Varadero Cuba last week. One afternoon while taking part in in an activity at the resort I noticed a fellow standing nearby with a familiar looking device in his hand. I sidled over to compare notes and discovered he was texting on a well used (maybe abused) Curve . Turned out he didn't speak any English and my Spanish doesn't go much beyond cerveza por favor but I was able to discover he is from Peru! He didn't seem to recognize my Z10 as a Blackberry. Sadly that was the end of the conversation. It was the only other BB I saw all week.

BlackBerry is all over Cuba my cousin has a 9850 and some of his buddy's have z10s they just hard to get

Went to Jamaica last year, everyone had a blackberry. All BOS 7 devices and only managers etc, had the BB10. I was a happy camper seeing them all using BB.

BlackBerry and BBM are huge in the Caribbean... in fact, most of the people in Toronto on my BBM contact list are from the Caribbean. Hopefully the z3 will get to the Caribbean and Latin America quickly.

I don't think you can get BBM working in Cuba I wish you could as it would be perfect source for communication.

Traveling to Jamaica and Mexico and both people I have committed with their both replied using their BlackBerry. No mention of Z10 etc. So likely BBOS
