The BlackBerry Z30 is available online at Best Buy so I called them to make sure this is the STA100-1 and they couldn't tell me exactly which model this is. Does anyone have any information on the model that Best Buy is selling? I need the STA100-1 because its fully compatible with AT&T's 4G LTE.

Considering that the only U.S. carrier that sells the Z30 is Verizon , I'd assume they'd be selling that model- which is STA100-3

Edit- You will however be able to get 4G (non LTE) speeds on AT&T using the Verizon model

Thanks but I want to be able to get LTE speeds especially since I am paying full price for it.

    It's an unlocked GSM version!

    It's compatible with T-Mobile and at&t.

This is like the models BlackBerry sells of the Q10 and Z10 in the U.S. on their website, where they're unlocked but works for both.

    $749 for this...

Yes that's my impression also but I would like to confirm the model # first before spending $750 on it. I was under the impression that the STA100-1 is the only model that's compatible with AT&T'S 4G LTE. The STA100-1 passed through the FCC in December so I'm hoping this is it.

I doubt they have these in the stores, so I don't know how you could check...

If it's unlocked, then it will work on at&t. I have the SQN100-1 from Shop BlackBerry, the Q10, and it will work on at&t and T-Mobile. I would just buy it and then if for some reason you didn't get LTE, just return it and get your money back. I think you'd probably even be able to take it directly to a Best Buy for a refund.

Thanks but the STA100-5 isn't fully compatible with AT&T'S 4G LTE. It's only compatible with T-Mobile's 4G LTE.

That's what I'm probably going to do. But I want to make sure I can get definitely get a refund on if it doesn't get LTE.

Best Buy has a good Return Policy.

You could figure out whether or not it has LTE right away, so you wouldn't need the 15 days they offer you. All you need is the original receipt.

You could order it for store pickup, bring your sim card in your current phone, put it in the Z30, and see right there whether or not you get LTE like you were just getting on the phone you have now. If you don't, just go over to Customer Service and get your refund.

The model # should be on the box. You don't even need to open the package.

I have not been able to find any store with listed as in stock in any of the stores but it is available for store pickup after a 5-7 day delivery period. The remaining question still is which model do they have available. Looks like the Verizon exclusive has ended.

BlackBerry Z30 16GB 4G LTE BlackBerry 10.2 OS Cell Phone | Overstock.com Shopping - The Best Deals on Unlocked GSM Cell Phones

    "Carrier: GSM, ATT, T-Mobile, etc.
    Network compatiblity: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 / 800 LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600"

I'm not sure which bands AT&T or T-Mobile uses but this should answer the question. Btw, Overstock is cheaper than Best Buy!

Best Buy does their own mark up. That's why it is so much, at $750.

For the price, you can't beat the Verizon model with Qi wireless charging at $500. But this model will only get you 4G on AT&T. No LTE.

Wow, that is a crazy price. I lucked out to find a brand new one in a sealed box for $450. With a legitimate seller allowing you to pop in your sim card to make sure all is well.
Kind of wish I found a Verizon one for the wireless charging. But the white ones in these parts are hard to find.

it probably has less to do with what BBerry is selling them for and more to do with what Best Buy thinks they can get for them.

I called them and they state it's compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile but tell me the model # is Z30 Black which I never heard of before. That's also the same model # that Best Buy has listed also.

The only way to tell is order it. I ordered the Best Buy one today. Once I get it, I'll post what I find here. I don't have high hopes of it being an STA100-1.
