Hi brdl04,

I'm interested in buying your smart phone if it's still for sale. After much research, the BlackBerry 9930 seems most appropriate for me. However, I've never owned a PDA so there are many unresolved questions.

I understand the phone is locked into Verizon. This isn't a problem in the short term, but how would I use it with other (foreign) service providers in the future? Is it simply a matter of swapping out the SIM card, or is the process more involved?

Earlier today, I tried the dreadful OS 10 with its social networks and touch screen. Are there any corny "apps" included in the OS 7.1 default install? Also, are there any important functions in OS 7.1 that can't be accomplished with the keyboard alone? I noticed that OS 10 only supports enterprise VPN protocols like IPsec. Does OS 7.1 support OpenVPN in any capacity?

More questions specific to your own phone... It's hard to tell from the photos, are there any scratches at all on the screen or back cover? Did you carry this phone in a protective case? Also, would you please share more photos, e.g., inside the phone, under the battery? How is the condition of the battery and the the NFC connections?

Sorry for this barrage of questions, it's all quite new to me. I haven't upgraded my phone in about six years so I'm out of the loop. Anyway, it'd be a great help if you could provide some more info about this phone's condition. The technical info I can probably find elsewhere.
