According to Gellar at the BGR this device is actually a top secret BlackBerry that has three rows of keys on the keyboard instead of four and all the keys are touch sensitive...Not only can you push the keyboard keys to input but you can also swipe gestures over them like you can on touchscreen BlackBerry 10 devices.

If those keys change what they show on them when you perform a gesture on them, I will buy that ****! This is a very nice concept though.

I'm really _really_ hoping that the 3-row keyboard is just being used for the developer version. It would be really bad to have to swipe to see alternative symbols, or worse to have them come up on the screen.

Please BlackBerry! Make the screen bigger by all means but not at the cost of a great keyboard.

First they brought gesture control and removed call and end buttons which was one of the main reason to buy qwerty phones
Then said ok no probelm I can get used to it
N now another raw is going from qwerty

In few years we will have only last raw of the keyboard

Lets see what will happen

Would love to make that screen edge to edge and more appealing to the eye. Can save some screen space as the BlackBerry + Logo are abit stretched out at the top.

Also I'm thinking there's no point of having that bottom bar below the keyboard? Seems like a useless waste of space to me. This space could also be used to enhance the screen size and make the device more cutting edge.

Other than that I absolutely love this render and hope the final product is something very similar to this. Great job op!

Please, please, Can someone put the BlackBerry word at the bottom of the screen as it is the case with BlackBerry Q5? It just makes so much more sense from a swiping gesture point of view.

From the Q10 Until the Q30

I understand your wants here, but if you think technically, those spaces are not just voids, they probably have a purpose, probably some parts of the mother board is spread out in the sides to make the phone thinner, coz if you see a phone opened up, you can see how much of the thickness is taken away by the screen itself, and that is the reason we have some phone like the nokia pure view phones, which have a bulge at the back, just because not everything can be shrunk down by our present science.

Plus that space is perfect to hold your phone in landscape while u play a game :P u dont wanna be hitting the wrong keys :P

Thanks for the render (y) It looks a lot better, but I'd like to see what it looks like with a square screen, like the leak had. Because that's much more likely.

Didn't they say they were going with a 1:1 ratio? 1440x1440?

I'm thinking it'll be wider and shorter. But this is a nice design. I don't think the long screen would work as well because you still can't use it landscape because you would have to reach over the keyboard (assuming you are playing a game)

But this would be great for videos!!
