I have a z 30 verizon told me today that the new 10.2.1 update was not being released because there was a problem with Verizon's software. How long can I wait .

Yeah, I remember the "updates" for the 9850 Torch from VZW, absoloutly trashed the phone, battery consuption, and a few other items that went wonky. Reloaded the ORIGINAL OS as released and the phone never looked back for almost 2 years. Rock Solid.

Now I have a Z30, and I love it. Been reading about other updates and leaks, and some folks missing things the way they were, or hating the change (as in phone app) etc.

I just wait and let the other folks see what is the latest and greatest, and see what it really is.

Just be a bit patient, and you will have less stress......

Welcome to CrackBerry Mitch. There is no "problem" with Verizon's software. That is customer service speak for "I have no idea what to tell you so I'll tell you something so you will hang up semi-happy". Verizon just sent me my new Z30 yesterday. Before I did anything, I downloaded the newest 10.2.1.2141 software from this website (which by the way, isn't a "leak" because I believe Telus or another Canadian carrier has officially released it). Then I set up my phone. I have had no problems at all with this software, it works perfectly. I highly recommend you just take the bull by the horns. If you are even slightly computer savvy, there are two ways you can do this: 1) the "autoloader" method which completely wipes your phone clean so you must backup everything with BB Link before you do it or 2) the "Sachesi" method of updating the software which replicates the upgrade as if you received it OTA without disrupting the data on your phone. Good luck.

Load the 10.2.1.2141 leak and eliminate the waiting. Works well on the Verizon Z30.

What website? I don't see a name or a link and I have been trying for 2 weeks to get correct info. Verizon tech didn't even know there was a Z30 BB, and the other tech said released and then pulled back, just like you said. Jill

The first thing I did when I got my new Verizon Z30 was install the 10.2.1.1925 leak using an autoloader. I haven't looked back. I had never loaded a leak before a few weeks ago. Now I have it on both my Q10 and my Z30. Still don't understand why Verizon would release it on the Z10 but not the other two.

It is just sad how under supported BlackBerry is in the US. First they are not stocked anywhere and second they take forever with an update that provides so much value.

Never mind its downloading now. I had to restart my computer and tried it again and it worked. Quick question though, i downloaded the 10.2.1.2141 a few days ago but it updated my phone to 10.2.1.2102. I'm confused because this same file i am downloading now was the same STA100-X.10.2.1.2141x2142.exe.7z file. Is 10.2.1.2105 the lastest leak for the verizon z30?

The OS is 10.2.1.2141. The Software version is 10.2.1.2102. Open Settings, About. Pull down the list and switch to OS.

I've been with Verizon for YEARS!!!!! They aren't very accommodating with software updates so everyone do yourself a favor....Just install the leaks!!! Come on here and do the research first and then just take the dive. You won't regret it.

Your instructions worked awesome the only issue so far is when in my music and I'm just scanning for a song it automatically jumps to top of page or very first song. I will admit the only thing I forgot to do was the encryption thing in your instructions could this be why...?

I just downloaded a leak for the first time because I got tired of waiting on Verizon. I got the latest leak released on Valentines Day. It's great so far. Had a few glitches (can't open Facebook from the Hub, a few contacts' phone numbers mysteriously got deleted, Blaq sometimes doesn't sync up with the Hub). Minor things until the official Verizon OS 10.2.1 is released but I'm digging it so far.
