I 'd like to change the booting up video (maybe not video in official OS) to the dev OS one, the one look like playbook.

Does anyone know which file is it in?

I think you mean the Boot animation. Loved that on some of the early leaked Dev builds. Can't believe they never used that on official. But then again, they still haven't brought back the squircle.

You know CB talks to the highest of high level folks at BBRY all the time. Would it kill them to ask about the squircle and the boot animation? LOL JK no panty knots please, I know you're trying to get other pressing info.

Can't recall the filename offhand, it's been a while since I looked at that.

But let me save you a lot of time... It's an executable file, not a video file, and there's absolutely no way to modify it at this time. It's in the OS itself and so far nobody can re-sign a modified OS, or bypass the signature checks on bootup.

You got me interested too, I don't remember seeing a video with the dev alpha booting up (I didn't have one)

    will this work?

load a latest dev OS to get the boot animation on device and then update with Sachesi but delete the OS core file before you install

I doubt it, SDK OSs with non-SDK apps installed tend to be somewhat unstable.

Someone should make a crudely Photoshopped drawing of a boot logo option... hehe...

I tried to load those extra apps to an dev OS once(app from 1925 to dev OS 1927), found the system monitor is not working

That indeed looks pretty cool! But isn't making that kind of fancy animation slows boot up since it uses some of the phone resources?
