Looking for a reputable vendor to buy an unlocked Z30 which supports TMOs LTE band in the US. I believe the 100-5 model fits that bill.

Side question. I have found one vendor (Overseas Electronics in IL) who claims to have the "Canadian" version of the phone but they are not giving me a model number.'

Is there more than one Z30 model in Canada?

As far as I know it is only the STA100-5 here. All Canadian carriers use that variant

I get 3G from the STA100-5 in some places, but regular 4G most of the time using AT&T

Sorry, I meant 4G LTE, not 3G.

I use GoPhone so I don't have to pay the $45/ month line fee. The plan is the same price otherwise, you just pay ahead of time.

I would love to know if your phone does work on T-Mobile too. Their price looks pretty good, but it's unclear from their website if it works on LTE 1700MHz, a band supposedly supported by the STA100-5, and I thought that was the frequency required to get LTE on T-Mo.

Please let us know, because if it works, I'll be ordering one right away!

I sent two 100-5s to GA on the TMO network and both have been fine so far. I can try and find out about network speeds in different areas if you guys /gals are interested.

So I have received my shinny new BlackBerry Z30. It didn't take long. Those people actually shipped it UPS Express. Cannot believe it.

I have already updated the OS from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.1 I will insert my T-Mobile SIM in the next few minutes.

So, I put in my TM SIM card and I have 4G and LTE. Seems like it is the perfect phone made for TM.

The big question for me is this. How much is the cost to ship this phone from that company in Canada to the US. What are the taxes and duty. I know that UPS is MUCH higher than USPS and I would choose USPS if possible.

I've ordered an Unlocked STA100-5 that I"m going to use on T-Mobile in the United States. Wondering what the best way of updating it to the latest OS Update as TMobile does not carry the Z30 at all. How do I install the latest updated software to it?
