One little change; there is no need to remove the password on your phone. I used Sachesi last night and my phone has a password. No problems. It really is easy.

I will try this next week since I have no access to a computer atm... question, even if you have a sta100-5, you must put in sachesi sta100-2 as phone model?

All the phones within a series have interchangable radios apart from STL100-1 from the other STL2/3/4
The radio file is the only difference. The OS itself is identical
This method posted by OP will allow a non-destructive update if you do so correctly.
However, if you are not already on 10.2.1, I do not recommend doing it, but rather backup, load new OS destructively, then restore

OK, thanks for the replies... I am on 10.2.1.1925... one more question, I have read that sachesi doesn't play well if you loaded a leak previously with autoloader, is this correct? I loaded 10.2.1.1925 with autoloader and now was thinking about using Sachesi for a non-destructive update... any experience/comment on this? thanks a lot

Great write up jrohland, this is exactly what I needed. This will be my first time using sachesi method. I usually use auto loaders or DDPB

    From Z10 to Z30

I did both of these updates from1925 which were installed using a loader. There is no reason the way a previous load was done should make any difference to Sachesi.
OK, thanks... just wanted to confirm just in case... thanks a lot for the help and info, this is why this community is so great...

I was unable to find any carriers selling the STA100-5 and with the 2141 update. Except for the -1 model, for the most part the OS and radio code is the same for all models. As such, it doesn't matter which variant you use. You can always do an OS update followed by loading the radio separately.

So if my Z30 is a STA100-5, I can just search, download and install the one I found for STA100-2?

I guess my confusion is about the radio file. If I have a working STA100-5 on 10.2.1.1925, I assume my radio file is ok. Would installing the 154 files found for STA100-2 corrupt my radio file and make it unusable or flaky in anyway?

Or would the radio file (10.2.1.2142) downloaded along with the 154 files for STA100-2 just work for my STA100-5?

I am currently running OS10.2.0.1443 on Z10 STL-3 and I am trying to upgrade to 10.2.1.1925 using SACHESI. I get to Sending tl_PH file to phone and I get an ERROR: failure 500 cannot determine Package-Id. Can someone help me with this error. I downloaded 10.2.1.1925 from Rogers using Sachesi. Thanks

If you are going to upgrade, why not go all the way. 10.2.1.2102 (2141) is out on Vodaphone UK
Country 234, Carrier 015, Device Z10, STL 100-2. 2,3,4 are interchangeable. Go for it.
