I listen to a lot of music on my BlackBerry whether it be streaming bluetooth music in the car or on headphones in the gym. I was really disappointed when I updated to 10.2.1.1925 and saw that the audio boost feature had been removed. While I realise that it was still there for some, I found the volume so terribly low through the headphones I could hear the ridiculous dance/trance **** they play at the gym despite my volume being full.

Since updating to 10.2.1.2141 I have noticed that the audio boost is still not there but boy is it not required. The volume is so much louder now, it's like audio boost is permanently enabled.

Has anyone else that's updated to. 2141 noticed an improvement in volume and clarity? Does anyone still have audio boost on this build?

    You mean this audio boost?

    In this software version?

It would seem I have it and always have.

Something tells me you wiped after,

I realized when I wipe after installing via autoloader the option gets removed,

Could be that, or your carrier doesn't support it

Or a restore. I do neither. I install over top. And setup from scratch.

Thank you. Yes, I did extract the .EXE from the .RAR file. That is what we were executing only to get that text window flashing. Or is there another step? I installed 1055 and it seems that running the .EXE file was all that was needed.

I'll look into Sachesi. Maybe by I figure it out T-Mobile will provide their version. Not holding my breath...
I ran an autoloader with restore and the option is still there for me. This is a vague recollection but I think there was a correlation made between carriers in a previous thread.

If it is carriers that are determining the availability of this feature, it is strange that it is suddenly no longer being supported as there was a time where it was available. In saying that, the volume is just so much louder on .2141, particularly noticeable when you go past the volume where you get that warning come up, that I don't think I anyway need it anymore.

Has anyone that hasn't got the option to toggle audio boost on and off noticed this too?

I got a q5 with vodafone Germany carrier branding. I'm on the latest firmware, there is no audio boost option for me :/ very sad. Like u mentioned before, the audio output is so terribly low even you turn on 100 percent.
Now I checked if my phone also got louder after the latest firmware update. But nothing...

I like my q5 but the sound is so disappointing to me :/

I hate to say, I've always had it and still do after the latest update. I autoloaded and did not restore this time. Clean setup.

I can't recall when this setting disappeared, but since 1925/26, I've been getting the volume warning in the music player when I increase the volume. I get this in 2141 and the setting is not listed.

I have updated to 2141 and the headphone audio boost is not there in the main volume settings. I am on Verizon and am using a Z10 STL100-4. On prior leaks of 10.2.1, I had this feature . Even on the 1925 leak this feature was there, until Verizon released this leak as the official software release. Once I received the 8 MB update and downloaded it, this update restored the 1899 radio from 1926, reset the clock app and removed the 1295 clock app with the backdoor for the porche design and removed the audio boost feature. Since I have downloaded the 2141 leak, I have been able to restore the 1295 clock app but srill do not have the audio boost feature

STL-1 : 10.2.1.2141 from 1925 sideload via sachesi (only core os, radio, runtime and camera) audioboost is still there, even better combine with neutron music player. 50 percent like 75 or something.

Why some have audio boost and some not?

It's very very sad even at 100% it's low volume, I am thinking of dropping my Z10 just because of that, i want listen music with my z10 and not carry extra mp3 player all the time or another phone

I really hope, if not I think I switch to another phone as my daily driver where I can listen music also.

Can not believe how good music sounds on my friends phones, my blackberry looking like a little school boy against their devices *grrrr*

I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that in Europe (European Union) there's a law which requires audio devices using headphones to always "manually" turn the boost on, rather than once and for all - and then forget about it. That way you have to consider this every time you turn the volume past a number of db considered for be damaging to hearing.

Well I have no problem when not once and for all volume settings , but the maximum volume is very frustrating.

I hope BlackBerry fix this... I understand it's a communication device in first place but people want to hear music also.

My next blackberry device I try listening music on it before I buy it

When I knew before I think I not bought bought my Z10.

Not even a decent mediaplayer, but in blackberry world the Neutron Player is not bad. But again, with this low volume even this player useless for me
