I use a BlackBerry Q10.updated the BBM to the new one today. All the other feature are working fine but I don't get the voice chat icon on the top right corner of the screen. Some help will be really appreciated.thanks

Same thing happened to me. It was odd. A simple reboot made it reappear though. It disappeared on all of my contacts. Rebooted and it was back right away.

Has the person you are chatting with upgraded? If not, it will not show up until they do.

Yeah I suppose it's upgraded because I had convinced her to download the app that same day on her android. Plus she sent me a screen shot of her screen and she had the call icon..when she tried calling me it said something about contact being unavailable. I will try reboot though, would a simple power off/on would work or would I need to take the battery out?

Happens to me occasionally when reception is bad or when switching between networks. You could try switch between 3g/4g, wifi, airplane mode on/off, mobile data on/off, and so on.

I noticed, that the voicechat sign only appeared, when both participants were on WiFi (other one rocked a HTC android)!

There an option in the bbm settings "allow voice / video chats over mobile network" turn that ON.

And the voice chat icon disappears if your data connection falls to 2G "EDGE" or "GPRS"..

Same problem here. It is very hit or miss for me now for the past couple of days.

I have a Z10 with the update, and multiple contacts on Android and iPhone have updated as well. I have tested it with all contacts, with it working perfectly fine. And then an hour later the Voice Chat icon is no longer green, when I know for sure those contacts are on wi-fi.
