I know I have to upgrade to 10.1 prior going to 10.2.
But my question is concerning licenses... can I upgrade my 10.0 licenses (which are perpetual licenses.... 99$ CAD each) prior installing 10.1?
Will my users stop getting their emails if I upgrade and don't have those licenses?
Any knows issues I should be aware about doing these 2 upgrades?
Any input, suggestions would be appreciated.

I did the same upgrade in December, read about how it went for me here:

You can upgrade your CALs whenever you like, before or after, but if you do it before you obviously won't be able to assign them to a server in the BlackBerry Accounts Center website until you have upgraded your sever and it's visible on the website to assign CALs to.

Your ActiveSync activations will keep working even if you upgrade the server and don't yet have any 10.1 style CALs as it only stops you from adding more users, it doesn't cut off the BDS users you already have. They will however experience downtime with their email, calendar and contacts sync on their BB10 phones while the BES10 services are down, during the installation and during any reboots, until the services start up again.

Do you also have users of iOS or Android devices on your BES10 server, in UDS on the same server as your BB10 users? If so you'll have to reactivate all those devices after the upgrade, there's no upgrade path for them, which really sucks. I hope BlackBerry never screw us over like that again!

Thanks Johnny, I appreciate your input. We don't have any Androids or iPhone users on our BES10, those are on Airwatch, so I don't have to worry about them. We aren?t a big BES10 shop, but I just want to keep our server up to date, and I think its time to update it.
