I'm using OS .1925. I've searched through the forums and seen where years ago, when the Z10 was just released, people were having problems setting up their GoDaddy email accounts. I get this message: "The server for account xxx [smtpout.secureserver.net, port: 465] can't be reached. The settings might be incorrect or the server could be temporarily offlline. Check your settings and try again."

I called GoDaddy and they were of no help.

Just went through everything and it still won't set up. I'm continuing to get a message that is a variant of the message I got initially.

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for the help, however I have removed your screen caps due to your privacy being out in the open. Try redoing the image with your email addresses twinked out.

I actually wasn't too concerned about people knowing my email address. But thank you for the courtesy

We have 10 z10's at work on go daddy and are experiencing the same issues. On some devices the issue fixed it self. On others if we moved from imap to pop3 we were able to reach the smtpout server again.

    Good luck

I think I had the exact same issues.

The fix: Delete the POP3 account. You have to start brand new with the IMAP account. I tried putting the IMAP settings into my existing POP3 setting and it did not work.

    Layman's terms :
    Delete POP3 account
In "Accounts" click "add account" at bottom
    Click "email account"
    At bottom click the "advanced"
    Click "IMAP"
    Create account

Let me know if that works

What is your GoDaddy account POP3 or IMAP?
    To find out:
    - Go to: https://login.secureserver.net/?app=wbe
    - Login with credentials
    - Click on tab "Tools" and click "Email Setup Center"
    Mine says this:
    Email Server Settings
    Server Standard Ports
    Incoming server (POP3):
    pop.secureserver.net 110, 995 (SSL)
    Incoming server (IMAP):
    imap.secureserver.net 143, 993 (SSL)
    Outgoing server (SMTP):
    smtpout.secureserver.net 80, 3535, 25, 465 (SSL)

    What does yours say?

I WILL find a fix for you! Shouldn't be too hard. Sometimes it is the small things like spelling (try not to copy and paste because some times you are pasting the same wrong info).

Keep us updated as GoDaddy email (and Calendar) works great on my Z10!

I am also a godaddy user (imap) but still using a 9930. I have been afraid of upgrading since bis works well for me. I was wondering if you are getting your emails instantly. Emails are very important for my job....

I should you inform you guyz that I was able to set up the account without any alteration of the defaults that Blackberry proposed. I kept trying everyday until one day it just went through. Clearly the problem rests with GoDaddy

I do believe that if you have a IMAP account then the emails will come through similar to as they did with Legacy BlackBerry devices.

I use to have my BlackBerry 9900 on BIS (as all legacy devices have) on BBOS with a POP3 GoDaddy account. Everything was instant and sync'd perfectly.
Since I moved to Z10 (no BIS) on BB10 I kept my POP3 GoDaddy account. The emails did not come through instantly and there was no syncing of messages. I have since changed my GoDaddy account to a IMAP account. Now emails come instantly and everything syncs perfectly again. Also with IMAP account I get calendar now as part of the package. Calendar works great! Follow my tutorial on how to set up Calendar http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...0-bb10-889374/

How do I set up an IMAP account on GoDaddy?
www.godaddy.com (or .ca or .*** whatever your location is)
Login to account. You have to know your actual account number and not just your email login. Or have them send it to you if you forget.
    Go to My Account
Click the "+" next to email
    Click "options"
I can't see it now but I do believe this is where the "upgrade to IMAP" should be... not sure exactly what it says now.
    Or try chatting with support.
FYI I found a coupon code on the internet (google search) and got 60% off my yearly cost. Saved a ton! When doing the purchase it will give you an option for a coupon code.

OK, according to this post Re: 15 minute delay to receive GoDaddy IMAP emails... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums GoDaddy IMAP does not support push. Old BBOS with BIS used to force pull/push. BB10 apparently does not operate the same way and so with GoDaddy IMAP it will be the sync interval of 5min.
