I now have a Z30 and it gave my z10 to my sister. When I had the phone I had Skype working perfectly. But now my sister is unable to install Skype. It downloads fine but when installation gets around 75% it says " error occurred during installation ". This happened on 10.2 and 10.2.1. Tried restarting but still can't get it to work. Is there a working sideload or apk that I could download for her?

Just download the Skype APK from the Google Play Store using Snap or whatever other means you wish to obtain it.

So I tried the apk from snap and the same installation problem occurs. Anybody have any ideas for me?

Boot up Link and see if the Skype file appears in the directory.
If so, use Link to uninstall Skype.
Reboot then try installing again.

I don't have any problems with the apk and I am running the latest 10.2.1 os.
I recommend a security wipe.
Do not forget to take a backup with link but exclude Skype from the backup.
After the wipe restore.

All my attempts failed to make it work...

Only a security wipe without restoring my settings resolved the problem.

I just an email saying my app for Skype is out of date and being retired I need to update. even though bb10 world isn't showing an updated version and the like just offers you the windows app?

Got an email asking to update Skype. On the Skype download and instructions page, there is not even a mention of the BB platform. Only Windows, iOS, Mac and Android. I guess BB doesn't count anymore
