    Hello all!Sorry if you know the answer for this question!I have a playbook, and i want to have skype on it.Yesterday, i tried to install skype from android version (2.9.0.315), and it's starts, but when it connected to wifi, it say, that there is a new version of skype, and download it...
    Can we do, with file hosts, add ip adress, that skype don't check updates, and it's will working?Or it's bad idea?

    Don't bother trying to get it to run correctly, as it won't, never has, never will. There are a number of Android apps that never worked properly (if at all) on the PlayBook and Skype was one of them.

    It belongs to the "other guys" and there's no way in this lifetime that they are going to let PB have it. Just my opinion.

    Skype has become less relevant since Microsoft bought it and has basically integrated it into their OS.

    I would recommend trying one of the alternatives like Viber. If anyone has gotten Viber running on a Playbook that would be good to know...
