Why does my BlackBerry think I'm in the Eastern time zone suddenly?

Maybe your network is having issues with setting their timezone? Set it manually if you need to.

This happens often for me..even when I cross from denmark to sweden ( half hour..) and we are on the same zone..

My phone suddenly thinks I'm in Mountain time when I'm actually in Eastern Time and haven't left my house yet.

I turned off the mobile network, set it to Eastern time and then set it back to auto update. Eastern time held. I then turned the mobile network back on and and set it to prompt me to auto change Time Zones.

As I'm typing this, the phone just prompted me to change to "Alaska Time".

Called T-Mobile and spoke to two Philippino's before they transferred me to an American "Network Specialist" who said he would submit a ticket but wanted me to reload the OS. I declined and he said he'd get back with me tomorrow after they investigate.

He did suggest I performed a battery pull while the phone was on to initiate a "dirty reboot" to clear the cache. I did so but the issue remains.

I'm holding my breath for a returned call.
