I installed the android skydrive program. I can open my skydrive but I can't open the excel filles.

With the new update am I able to download the Microsoft Office 2013 version on my blackberry z10 as an android app. It's an option on the Microsoft Office website?

Will word, excel and PowerPoint now work?

Microsoft Office 2013? The only Android app I know if for office is Office Mobile for Office 365. And yes, you're able to download it but you'll need to test it out and see if it works. Are you not happy with DocumentsToGo?

Yeah, what do you mean "I can't open the excel filles"? I can open all mine just fine. Sheet2Go gets the job done (although I am sure there must be something it can't do that advanced users will probably miss).

Well, I guess I see what the issue is. If you click the file it will download but won't open. You can find the file if you browse to /device/misc/android/SkyDrive/downloads. Or you can open Docs2Go, tap Open.

I can't open the excel files from my Android skydrive app.

I use sheets to go all the time with emails and stuff.

Its,my skydrive. We're I store my business spreadsheets. I have not found a program in blackberry app world that allowed me to access my skydrive so I can edit my excel spreadsheets as needed.

The replies are a bit out of sync here lol. Check out my previous post! I guess I figured the issue out (I have Skydrive here but only used it as a backup measure).

I haven't tried the Office 2013 because I 'm too cheap to shell out for the 365 subscription, but you should be able to get .xlsx's off of SkyDrive. Instead of just tapping on the icon, use the check box to the left and then select the download icon at the bottom of the screen. It should tell you that it has downloaded to your Sd card. HOWEVER - Since it is in the Android runtime, it doesn't actually go to the SD. use the file manager and navigate to "Device/misc/android/SkyDrive/downloads"

Word, Poerpoint and Excel open by default into the DocsToGo native App; but let us know if the office download works.

You could do two things here:

    1. install olive office or any other office programs you can find free on the play store.
    2. Pay for playcloud or such like that can tap into your skydrive account and edit with the native docs2go app. Good luck.

Can't download it. Microsoft website won't allow you too. It says not supported device.

I tried using the method posted above. Which works perfect.

    Thank you.

It's just another instance of an issue I have reported to BB. 10.2.1 does not write to the SD, while it was a no brainer on 10.2.0.

Just get PlayCloud or Files & Folders or mirror your data to Box.net and you're done. Forget Android crap but if you must SugarSync 4.0.2 APK works like a charm on BB10, it sync files, it downloads and it opens office files no problem.

You could go to skydrive directly from your browser on your phone and go that route. It would have been simpler. Get to it by going to outlook.com

I downloaded the 365 app and it says I do not have permission no matter what I do. I checked with my i.t dept and they said I have all the permissions I can have. So maybe it just doesn't work? Anyone able to log in with it?
