Caution installing 1 Mobile Market on your Z10. It seems to wipe out your Applications Permissions list. The good news is when you uninstall it the list returns.

You can fix the notifications. Download ghost commander and go into android settings and to notifications and set to off

I did but still had issues afterwards. Just deleted it since I have Snap and Amazon store already.

I guess I don't follow or maybe don't have the right version of Ghost Commander. How did you get to that first screen? Where are "Android Settings"

    Thanks in advance.

Go to home screen of ghost commander and in that list there is an icon for applications. Click that icon, believe it's the second last one above the exit icon. When in application you will see a list of apps. Go to the app you want to edit the notification setting and press and hold it until option menu appears. Select manage from that menu. In there you can edit the settings.

I downloaded 1Mobile. Every time I open it and download something, it screws up my hub. When I get facebook notifications, etc, when I click on them nothing happens, they go dim for a couple seconds and nothing. If I reboot the phone it is fine again until I download something.

    Running a Q10.

Turn off the notifications for 1mobile . That should solve it.

It also seems to eat away at your battery life and if you are not careful, your data too. It appears toggling the settings such as notifications within the app is also ineffective. Deleted.

There are some folks who don't necessarily trust that site or where it originates. They compile their own versions of Android apps and some suspect that they might add code that is unorthodox. Others don't worry about it.

Remember, when you install most Android apps, you have no control over the Permissions that the app has. So it might have access to all of your files, your calendar, contacts, and access to the internet. So they can potentially read your files and then possibly send what they find to anywhere or anyone. Some folks worry and, again, some folks do not worry.

You'd be better off with Snap. I had a bad experience with 1mobile as well. Uninstalled and used Snap.

I use Snap on my Blackberry but find it to be useful for my Amazon Kindle Fire. I have had no issues so far.

I use 1mobile a lot, no issues at all, the verified genuine apps have a little green tick, all work fine and are very up to date compared to Amazon.

Just a heads up, I've had issues getting the 1Mobile app completely uninstalled. Still see it using trace amounts of my battery after uninstalling by pressing and hold the icon then the trash can. Attempted to delete an android folder it created using the file browser. Had to install ghost commander to delete most of it, one particular folder is still wont allow me to delete it. Still, in the device monitor area, 1mobile shows up and when i click on it to show details it says the app has been deleted but still shows current usage information.

Anyone have a tip as to what I can do to delete it without having to do a fresh install or something to remove all aspects of the 1Mobile app?

So, Ghost Commander did not clean it up? Device Monitor? You might have to, unfortunately, REinstall to completely UNinstall it.

Yeah, I ended up doing a security wipe through the settings menu. The 1Mobile app no longer appears to be using battery/CPU/RAM as it was prior to the security.

Obviously, I will no longer use 1Mobile. Sticking to BBWorld for the time being.

You are not the only person who has ditched 1mobile.

You can possibly use Amazon app store or you can sideload SNAP (discussed in the Android apps subforum) which gives access to the google app store (although some stuff may not run)
