Get it before Box stops this offer on 15th February 2014.

Box is celebrating its Appstore launch and giving 50GB Free storage to iPhone users as opposed to 10GB for us.

It's easy to get it though. All you have to do is find a friend with an iPhone or any IOS device. Download Box app on their phone and sign in with your existing Box account. You will get an email saying that you have 50GB allowance. Log out and delete Box from your friend's IOS . And that's it!!

I got a 50 GB account way back when I got my PlayBook, so in some ways Apple users are behind BlackBerry stalwarts.

Yup and I tried this to see if I could get the extra 50gb on top of my already 50gb and it wouldn't happen. It seems that for me I would have to create a new account.

...or you can download the MEGA cloud storage from app world if you're on 10.2 and get 50g for free that way. no promotional time limit or anything...i'm not on 10.2 so no good for me, but knock yourself out if you do.

People who got the 50 gb promo from way back can refer people to box.com and they'll get 50 GB as well.

I got that offer last week as I have an iphone in addition to my Q10. Sweet deal! The MEGA cloud storage is cool too but it does not appear to work with file manager. Correct me if I am wrong.

50GB for free? Tempting, but I love being grandfathered in at $10/month.

Bitcasa. Unfortunately, notice how I said grandfathered in at $10/month. They shot themselves in the foot with their new pricing scheme, but since I started before they changed up their plans, I get infinite space for 1/10 the current price.

I tried out a Nexus 5 last week and was also given 50GB when I logged in with the Android app.

Perhaps just another option for those without access to an iOS device.

I've not been a big fan of cloud storage. Recently I bought a Z30 and realised it is a very neat feature. Especially Box as it allows great collaboration feature so you can change settings for specific folders in the cloud and share or collaborate with many people. I guess it'll be great for backup too but I'm not doing that at the moment. I'm not sure if I can trust it that much. I guess it's personal preference.
What it is definitely great for is saving media and files for quick access without carrying any physical device that could die on you or be lost or stolen. If you have a bb10 it's great. It works very well with the file manager.
I have my photos backed up there, some recent docs and my favourite sit com ( Only Fools and Horses) so I can watch it to cheer myself up when I'm away from home.

For me 50GB extra just increases the overall storage capacity for my Z30.
