    Hi everybody,

I cannot sort out this problem: my Z10 is always showing the wrong battery percentage. Please don't tell me to take out the battery, let it rest for 90 minutes and put it back because it won't work !

Am I the only one in this situation? Any solution?

    Thank you.

you can try that, or just plug in ur blackberry into ur computer, open blackberry link and let it sync, the battery meter should be back to normal...

Is this happening while you are in the lower battery percentage?

Thanks for the feedback. I've tried already to pull out the battery and sync but without result. When the battery is fully charged it never reaches 100%, I really don't understand why.

Warranty issue. Just buy a battery. Darn lithium ion batteries.

I have the same issue. Won't charge pass 96% after a full charge (all night). The funny thing is if I disconnect it from the charger and plug it right back it will then charge up to 100%.

Not sure what to make of it.

Mine is fully charged at 48%.... The battery lasts as normal but I don't like to have a wrong percentage.

Mine did this a few weeks back. I left it to charge for ages a couple of times and then it went back to normal. Also download BlackBerry virtual expert so you can see the condition of your battery

Ironically, mine never showed 100% prior to the 10.2.1 update, after that, it did. In fact, it frequently showed 100% until mid-morning, before suddenly dropping to 80% or so...
Just reflashed the OS from Link, and then security-wiped it due to reboot problems. Since the reflash, the battery meter has appeared to function OK.

I might do this, sounds like a buggy OS update and the only way to fix it is by backing up and reloading the OS.

You could try completely draining the battery and then giving it a full charge and doing this a couple of times. It will cause the battery to recalibrate itself. Or as others have said purchase a new battery.

even with the new update 10.3. I still have the same problem. my battery life is always showing wrong values. sometimes it can say battery life is 2days 17hrs ( very hard to believe for a z10) that's when it's 100%. I can use it for about 2hrs and the percentage will be at 89. then I pull out both battery and sim card and insert it back. Now it shows me 55% buh the phone goes off aut
    omatically at 46%.

On an earlier build I experienced this a bunch of times and would do a complete drain and then it would recharge to 100%. Still have the same battery and it tracks fine in the device monitor with 10.3.1
