I'm on Rogers in Canada, and have a pre-release Z30 (pin starts with 2FFF). Obviously everyone on Rogers had their update pushed to them this morning, except me and a couple other pre-release z30 owners that I know of for sure. So now I have this sinking feeling that these phones won't get the update pushed to them, and manual check doesn't work either.

So the question is, is there somewhere I can just download the OS update file and install it myself, like with a leak? Prefer not to do a leak, I want an official Rogers os version.

    Can anyone help? Thanks!

Have you tried bblink? Connect your phone to a pc and run Link and check for the updates.

My reply is no help so sorry, but I too have a unlocked from BlackBerry Z30 and didn't not get the update. How can BlackBerry sell the phone unlocked but then give no option to update?? I have a Telus, EE, Voda phone and Verizon (lte) sim cards tried to update with them all as well as no sim at all. Yes I am running 10.2.1 leaked but would like to get on an official version. Any help would be great

Doesn't work, says I have the latest os, 10.2.0.429. Going to try with the sim out to see if that helps, but I doubt it.

Use Sachesi and look up the latest OS from any of the Canadian big three. You can then do a nondestructive update using Sachesi. Easy peasy.

OK so I tried sachesi and looked up Rogers z30 updates...the only one is for sta 100-5, but mine is sta 100-2. I'm guessing I can't load that one??

Yes it's a BlackBerry. If you have something bad to say... speak to Easton!

Let us know if and how you figure this out. Same situation here. Unlocked Z30 with a truemove (thailand) sim card in it. No updates showing through either the phone or BB Link. Tried taking out the SIM card, still doesn't do anything. Tried putting in an Airtel India Sim Card (in India Airtel shows the update) but no luck.

Sachesi isn't working on my OSX Mavericks system.

I don't mind tweaking and tinkering but it's little things like this that are very annoying and tough to recommend BB to an average user. Data needs APN settings that I can't modify on the phone.

Ah well - keep this thread updated if you figure out how to update. I have a factory unlocked new phone btw bought direct from BB India while traveling through last month.

I'm tempted to drop the cb10 team a note. Maybe draw someone at BlackBerry attention. I've tried now with and without sim, connected to bblink and ta, and tried a thai, us and Indian sim. No luck.

They seem to have forgotten about the factory unlocked phones. Then again, apparently users in india can update through airtel. All phones in india are sold unlocked. Can't figure this issue out and between my battery woes and not being able to connect data till I update I'm about ready to call it a day and go back to the bold 9900. Lovely phone but I've spent 10 days trying to troubleshoot minor things and just don't have that kind of time.

I tried installing STA 100-2 OS update from O2 in UK via Sachesi...that's the os that Sachesi found with a search. Everything went fine, downloaded, completed install, etc but now my phone sits here just blinking red led...one blink, then six, then one, then six, etc. power button and volume buttons won't reset the phone. So now using my z10 until I figure out what to do. Link seems to see the z30 to put the old os back so i might try Sachesi again with a different os...just no idea which to use.

    Did you get the update?

What The heck is the deciding factor then ? Country or carrier? I've tried a thai some, working indian sim, no sim... none of them gets me the update.

Yes I think that's the issue, Rogers only pushing STA 100-5 updates, not 100-2 like some of us have.

Given to BlackBerry employees pre-release of z30 launch. Stamped 'not for sale' and all seem to have a unique pin starting with 2FFF.

Did you try putting in SIM cards from other carriers? Ones who have released 10.2.1 on the 100-2?

I thought it was just me. Factory unlocked sta100-2 on lime in Barbados (who don't have the phone available for sale as yet) and no update either OTA or using link. Tweeted lime, blackberry help, asked Michael Clewley on his BlackBerry channel, no replies. Why oh why can't I just download the update from BlackBerry directly? Very frustrating to get the phone you desire and then have it be needlessly hamstrung by carrier related issues like this. If it is factory unlocked, BlackBerry should be able to provide the update directly.

Not just you apple vine. Same problem here. 100-2 factory unlocked on true move in Thailand. Ota, bblink, with sim without sim no luck.

Post here if Someone figures this out, there's no reason for a software update to be approved by a carrier, especially when the bloody carrier has CRAP bb10 support to begin with.

BlackBerry needs so sort this out ASAP.

I just got mine 2 hours ago. Looks like it's slowly rolling out. Unlocked, no sim installed, it beeped at me saying update available.
