Can someone please look at the box their Bold came in and tell me if they see a 'T-3' or 'T-4' somewhere on the outside of the box?????? This is extremely important to me as it tells me if the Bold works with hearing aid telecoils.
I saw an initial spec saying it would have telecoil support but, it does not show up in the spec ATT shows now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
on wirefly.com is says that the bold is M3 hearing aid rated... maybe that will help? i couldnt find anything on my box... unless im looking in the wrong spot.
Thanks Jarhead!!! As I understand the FCC requirements, the T-3 or T-4 rating (M-3 or M-6 also but different) must be displayed on the outside of the box and if it isn't there the device is not hac compliant.
I do turly appreciate the help and also your service to our country! Semper fi.
An old swabby here.
Just in case anyone else is interested, I printed out the RIM Bold website where it shows the Bold has an M3 and T3 rating. I just now got back from my local ATT store and was able to check an actual box. Sales guy was excellent and actually tried to locate 'voicecoil' in the menu. The outside of the box does NOT show anything except TTY compatibility. And using the actual Bold, and using same menu location could NOT find 'telecoil' as we were able to do on a Curve.
So, it appears that ATT has decided to not support HAC for reasons of their own. I hate it but, that's the way it is.
