I recently upgraded to 10.2.1.1925 and since then the voice feedback on the Voice Control app has stopped working. I tried to reboot without much luck. I just updated to the recent official update and still no change. I don't get any voice feedback when Full Voice Recognition mode is selected but it works when in Voice Dialing mode. Apart from that the app works great.. I was wondering if anyone had a fix for the same.

I had the same issue, I toggled the "hear voice feedback" in the settings and it started working again.

Okay, I tried a reset and no-go. So went for the battery pull, still no-go. I haven't been outside to test the bluetooth yet but I am still not getting a voice on the handset. Going to start checking other sources and I'll post a solution if I find one.

Darn it! I'm not getting a voice response from the phone, either! I'm on the leaked version of .1925.

I did something that worked but it has caused another issue. I reset the phone and did not restore the data and the voice feedback seems to be working now. However now my camera does not show the face detection option anymore. Weird

When you say, "...reset the phone" do you mean you reinstalled the OS?

Yeah, the face detection option wasn't carried over to .1925. I think the bars might be in the Leaked/Beta OS thread, but I'm not sure.

Rebooting didn't seem to help me.

All I did a few times yesterday, was hold the top button on the Z30, UNTIL you see the word "blackberry" appear, release, etc., It didn't do a thing, I was leaving the gym today, tried it again, and it worked! I'm not sure if this is on BlackBerrys servers causing the issue, reason I say that, a few others said the same thing I did around the same time that it was working again...

Odd. I might try the hard reset function (holding both volume keys until the boot screen comes up).

Similar problem here. I can only get it to work on blue tooth headset but the volume is VERY Low. I can't figure any way to raise the volume. Jim

Not yet, there is another lengthy thread about this in the z10 section.

I have spend over 5 hours with BB support to correct this problem. I have reloaded the 10.2.1 operating system twice, and even tried a replacement phone. All to no avail. BB support wanted me to reload the OS a third time- I refused and told them to find a fix. The problem is evidently within 10.2.

The upgrade also interferes with my contacts listing. When I look up contacts from the phone icon, the contacts are alphabetical by first name but listed last name first. Setting the contact format to first, last does not correct the listing. When I open the contacts from the contacts icon on the main screen, the listing is correct.

    BB needs to fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if it's related, but, someone emailed me a voice memo the other day. I was able to open it, but, could not hear it. Turned the volume all the way up and put the speaker to my ear and was able to hear it very faintly and somewhat garbled similar to how voice feedback currently sounds like.

I changed settings to English UK and it works perfectly, even through my auto system.
