For install instruction to load any carrier 8120 OS on your BB:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Just call T-Mobile customer service or visit a store to request one. Mine took a day before I got the unlock code.
I upgraded from the Orange UK .52 version. I don't see much of a difference but I did notice about a 2mb increase in memory. That's good enough for me.
mm the korean font came from my the last version of my os, which is now currently v4.5.0.93. im not sure how to back up just the korean font from it, i thought you could only back up 3rd party programs no?
Is anyone else getting any signal drop outs? I updated mine yesterday and i've had signal drop out in areas that it's normally fine!? Could just be the weather tho... It's been real bad this week end!?
So far...its good. Only thing is that T-Zones is now wap.insecure... and the Manage Internet Email is jacked up too. I really hated 4.5.0.81 it rebooted all the time. Hopefully this one doesn't.
I have a T-Mobile USA Pearl Running 4.3.0.115, Have the DM v4.5 followed all the directions made sure to delete the XML file but it's still not prompting to upgrade, I've tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling to no avail. I've been searcing for several hours still no answer... Any ideas??
i was wondering if anyone knew whether this version (v4.5.0.102) is more recent that v4.5.0.37? looking at the date from the posts in forums it seems that v4.5.0.102 is more recent although number wise it would seem the opposite
Thanks in advance!
ps: is it because of carrier??

i downloaded the desktop manager from your post but there is no icon on my desktop so i cant use it, its not even showing up on the start menu? have any suggestions how to fix it?
i installed it yesterday. and it worked great. the operative word being "worked." I'm on t-mobile USA. and it wasn't showing my UMA signal when i had my wi-fi on. and although it was obvious i had a wifi connection cuz i was able to browse without being on a data plan, it was showing up as if i didn't have a connection. this was around the time last night that i decided was going to downgrade back to 4.3. but i slept on it cuz i didn't have time to do it last night. and when i woke up this morning, my sim card was fried. so i got the beloved "sim not allowed" and "sim rejected." i downgraded back to 4.3 right before heading to the t-mobile store for a new sim.
I was downloading ,noticed it was mad slow because my VPN was connected - disconnected VPN, lost the DL. Went back to DL and now the .102 isn't available, only .052 ... tried IE, same ... what did I do?
I just installed it last night. Some advice I can offer is make sure you don't have any other updates installed on your computer, delete the vendor.xml, install the 4.5 update, delete the vendor.xml again, run desktop manager and connect the blackberry.
I don't notice much of a difference. There is more memory because they change the option in the media to reserve memory to 5mb instead of 12mb.
When choosing what to install during the upgrade, I noticed an option to install documents to go. I wonder if that is a full version or just a trial. I'll look into it when I get home.

First thing I noticed when I went to put a photo on the home screen it no longer and the option of "fill screen". So an upgrade takes something off.....
