I don't agree at all.

After nearly 12 months and all the official updates my Z10 Is as zippy fast as on day one.

As for the issues with each TOTALLY DIFFERENT OS, that I'm having, on elboth the PlayBook and Z10, can anyone say if they find the predictability and/or Precision of it has decreased at all? I find it isn?t as good as some previous OS versions, which I attained OTA.

Just making sure the trolls have all the information clearly written by me here....

My keyboard is working great. I've never had keyboard lag on 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 or 10.2.1.

I find there is some issues with the precision of the keyboard. It doesn't feel as precise and keen as the previous updates given. It is fast, but I'm finding I get more spelling mistakes on 10.2.0.429, than the previous official update. I am finding the EXACT SAME ISSUE on the PlayBook.

It seems the precision, as well as more frequently spelling mistakes are apparent.

Try clearing your learned words, maybe with you doing the OTA update, the list is becoming to big. Just a suggestion.

Hi there I don't get it... On my Z10 STL100-2 with Software release 10.2.0.424 & my 64GB Playbook with the latest software release I'm not having any issues at all with the keyboard lagging or predictability being slow at all on either device. If anything they have gotten better. Rocking with my Z10 & 64GB Playbook

I am finding, with my PlayBooks, that if you keep a steady pace while typing, the keyboard seems to lag behind, then quickly catch up with the person typing.

Also, sometimes you hear the clicking of the keyboard, but no letters appear in the area where letters should be.

I haven't noticed more keyboard problems in higher version OSes on either the PlayBook or the Z10. Are you restoring your settings when you update your Z10?

Are you running lots of apps in the background on your PlayBook or Z10?

All I can say, is when I'm notified of an update, I download it, and install it.
I occasionally back up the device with BlackBerry Link. I install the full update, I don't go into link and select anything in particular, if that's what your implying.

Extremely limited amount of apps on each device. When I'm done with them, I close them. Nothing is constantly kept open or have active frames on the side. Nothing like that.

I'm on a a leak and prediction hasn't performed as it did on the official OS. But that's to be expected on leaks.

It might take a while to relearn the words you normally use. I know it does that sometimes after I just update SwiftKey.

I'm actually having the same problem here, I feel major lag when the lockscreen opens with the keyboard to press the password and it misses the first key in input if I do it too fast (didn't have this issue before the leaked OS of 10.2.1)
also, the prediction has become more horrible than any phone I used before and I have to fix my writing very often.

nothing much to do or complain about because it's a leak (official OS coming in just 2 days so it's fine), I tried clearing the "history" as suggested - will let ya know.

Weird. If anything, the 10.2.0.429 update made my keyboard thrice as fast.

I'd like to also say i have had issues with keyboard performance. i got bad enough to the point i ended up switching to a Q device

the issue i was personally having was i was too fast for the phone (lol, im serious though)

If my fianc� and i were having a text conversation, and if she for example said

"did you pay bill x?"
and i went to quickly reply yea, i would end up sending
"y"

basically i ended up having to type, wait the half second to a second for the stuff to show in the text box, THEN hit send. Got very annoying very quickly.

Did anyone else have this problem and/or have a suggestion to fix it?

I didn't lose my learned words when I updated. If anything I believe there are too many learned words now so I may delete and start over. For some reason my phone now believes I truly wish to misspell words. Obviously not the phone's fault.

Yeah I've had this problem too. I type out "yes" or "no" quickly click send. And only the first letter sends. So either "y" or "n"

Same with when I try to send "" and only ":" sends.

It only happens for text conversations though. BBM is fine for me

I too would like to add that I have experienced a decline in my keyboard performance. I almost started a thread on this last week. When I first got my Z10, the keyboard was amazing. Now, after a few OS updates (I have never installed a leak) the word prediction and auto correct have deteriorated. I now find myself having the same typos you would expect on an Android device. I have even cleared the memory and started clean to gave it relearn. Still notice a loss in accuracy, etc.
