Hi guys,
I have one question about android app on Q10.
Can we use android app Lync 2010 on 10.2.1 leak of Q10?
I still pending to buy Q10, because I always use Lync 2010 to communicate to my company's colleague. I don't know it can be use this app. If anyone have ever used it on Q10 please let me know about it and how does it work?

Yes you can. I'm currently using it and so far, it looks like it keeps me "Online" better than on my Note 3 where it shows "Away" after a few minutes of not being in the App.


Of course, this is assuming your company allows mobile access and it is currently working on Android devices.

Lync 2013 works too. Just an FYI - way more functional than 2010.

dear friends, can you point out where i can download a working bar file of lync . i have tried sideloading via bbnet both 2010 and 2013 but it does not work on my Q10. lync 2010 starts but freezes, 2013 does not work al all... thx for the help.

Well you can't install a bar file on a bold 9000. This discussion I'd for installing droid APK on leaked 10.2.1 OS. If converted bar doesn't work it's probably due to older OS running older droid runtime

Because I need to know android app Lync 2010 can be use on Q10, if it works well I will buy it, my company always use Lync to communicate, that's why I still pending to buy Q10. But one thing I wonder how does Lyn 2010 work on Q10, because ratio display of Q10 is different with almost device run android OS. I do not mention about install Lync 2010 for Z10 or Z30, I thing it will be work well because they have the same ratio display with almost device run android OS.

Well I have personally not tested (as my company does not...which I wish they did). I have tested lots of direct droid APK and have not had any aspect issues. I no longer have my q10 and have since switched to z10( which I find better for typing than the q10... go figure)

By the looks of it the converted bar does not work but the direct Apk does. Only way to use a direct Apk is with 10.2.1 which also includes upgrades droid runtime

Yes. It does work. So does the Android RDP (remote desktop) from Microsoft. Teamviewer too.

For you guys with 2013 working, are the VoIP calls working as well as video?

I cannot for the life of me get them to connect. Everything else seems to work though.

Just as an FYI, you can link your Skype account to msoft lync and can IM with your lync contacts right from the native bb10 Skype client. Works perfectly.

how do you do that and what settings are used. I cant get mine to connect to the server. i guess I'm missing the internal and external server settings.
