I realized this, but they have a way of taking anything about BB positive and making it a negative.

Its quite refreshing to see. I had to double check i was really on the BGR website. I only visit there to have a laugh at their BB bashing articles, hence my surprise.

    BGR on Z30

What BlackBerrys Z30 does better than any other smartphone

    BlackBerry Z30 Typing Analysis

BlackBerrys Z30 phablet didnt exactly launch with a lot of fanfare last year but that doesnt mean the device is devoid of virtues. Four writers at Wired last week used nothing but smartphones to cover CES last week and they found that the BlackBerry Z30 actually performed the best over the entire week when it came to quickly snapping pictures and typing up articles.

The keyboard just seemed very accurate in terms of response and text-correction when I was in fingers-flying mode, explained Wired writer Tim Moynihan. The five-inch screen size of the Z30 certainly helped there, too. It was a lot more comfortable to type on than the 4.2-inch screen on the smaller Z10.

Moynihan also had praise for the BlackBerry Hub, the one-stop messaging center that BlackBerry designed to help users keep track of messages from a huge variety of sources. What made it particularly great, he said, is that its seamless integration with apps such as Tumblr and Twitter meant that he could easily access all his messages and respond to them without switching apps.

These features, combined with the popularity of BlackBerrys BBM messaging service, suggest that the company has a future as a mobile messaging specialist if it plays its cards right. CEO John Chen seems to be thinking along these lines as hes lessened the companys emphasis on making its own hardware and has tried to rebrand the company more as a cross-platform mobile device management service. If BlackBerry could also release keyboard replacement software for Android phones and perhaps even Typo-style iPhone QWERTY keyboard extensions, it could find a nice little niche market for itself.

Of course at the end they see BlackBerry as specializing in Keyboard software and iphone cases.

Nice to see this. Most of my friends ad family would not know about the new BB10 phones if it was not for me. Write ups like this will hopefully bring more awareness to the Z30, Q10 and Z10.

I love how bgr is the devil until someone finds a positive. Don't worry he'll be back to hating soon enough.

Honestly, I just go on the site because his hate of BB is so blatant. Its fun to read, and never forget, its just ONE mans opinion. I still laugh at how many "BlackBerry is dead" articles he's posted. Yet they still remain with us, years later. Just love it.

Totally surprised a positive article showed up.

At the end of the day, its just entertainment for me. Only the insecure get offended by what others think about what phone/OS they choose to use.

Well said. Life is way to short to spend so much time and energy getting upset by BlackBerry naysayers. I use what I use because I like what it does and how it does it. Putting down people who choose other devices is ridiculous. Light hearted banter is one thing, but taking it seriously is a mistake. Just smile and move on.

Me, I like BlackBerry and am invested in them. I want them to do well and so does my wallet.

Ever notice how NO ONE FROM BGR ever gets asked onto a cable news networks to do interviews the way kevin does??

Its because they know these people aren't legitimate unbiased bloggers or reviewers.

One slightly positive commentary does not cancel out years of drivel.

That's because they have to give some positive once in a blue moon to give the illusion that they are unbias in their reveiws.

When has BGR ever pretended to want to appear to be unbiased? I truly think none of the writers there care what people think.

I mean, even people who can't stand BGR give it/him free press. Why pretend to like what they like when you can post what you want and still come out ahead?
