Does anyone know if it is possible to update the Flash version separately from the rest of the OS?

I am running OS 10.2.1.1925. My flash version shows 11.1.121.199. Websites with Flash are not working.

I either get a 'missing plugin' error or a warning to update to the latest flash version.

Funny thing is, my wife's Z30 is only on OS 10.2 but Flash version 11.1.121.208???

That's odd, my Zed on Telus has .208.

What site are you trying to view?

    From my Vader Zed

Open up browser. Click on the three dots in lower right corner. Click settings> display and actions and make sure adobe flash is toggled on.

Do the same web sites work on your wife's Z30?

I was trying to watch the CTV web site and had the update flash error on both my Q10 and Playbook. I have the same OS on my Q10 as you do.

When the CTV site didn't work, I tried the CBC and flash worked to watch a show there.

I wonder if it is just an error with some of the web sites not recognising the OS10 version of flash being current.

CTV updated their site to this GO service which demands a higher flash version in November / December 2013. I had emailed CTV so that make a BlackBerry version app and there are no plans on the app. Here is the email address to take action: [email protected]

The problem with this approach is you cannot use the Play on feature to go full screen on the TV via HDMI and the Q10.

I think the whole point of this is to prevent mobile devices from just accessing via flash and streaming to their TV. Something similar happened to the Playbook and Hulu in the USA. Hulu said they had to block the PlayBooks because they had not licensed the content for tablet use.

Make sure that your browser has "Desktop Mode" set to off. I just tested it and it works fine with that mode, but not the other.
