    Yeah, he is right. HSPA + is a specific standard. 3G can be anything... most carrier would even call HSPA+ 4G

    It is 3G because Hspa+ is just a UMTS extension. LTE is also not 4G, just 3.9G. The first real 4G network technology is LTE Advanced.
