Hey guys! We are in the process of laying out our new app store 2.0 website.

We are in the first stages of laying out the architecture. We are going to do Amazon EC2, RDS and S3. Basically, we will be hosted entirely with Amazon, with the ability to scale up or down, depending on traffic levels.

The site will undergo a totally new re-design and be more responsive.

I am asking the Blackberry Community to give me some requests on features you want in the store. Here is what i came up with talking to people

- voting system
- Ask for Update (if an app is out of date, clicking this will notifiy)
- App Does not Work (enough votes removes it from the system)
- Request an App - new form to do live requests
- APK to BAR intergration with our site (enough up votes puts it live on the site)
- dedicated comment section per app (right now, comments on every section, irrelevant)
- We have a new slideshow now we are testing - what do you think? Engadget Mini for Blackberry 10 - New Apps – Playbook and BB10

Please throw suggestions out there for me, i want to make it better than what i have, and catter to the needs of the community.

The store has been a great resource, but a few things I'd like to see are:

Alphabetical app listings in the categories
List of OS versions (PlayBook OS, BB10 stock, BB10 leak version, etc.) the app supports.
Reported issues or quirks, for example: app X only works in portrait orientation, or app Y is missing a menu on the Q10.

I'm sure there are others who have better ideas, but these are the few that come to mind.

this is a good store for the aging blackberry Playbook to find apps.

1. Would be good to have the ability to download and install bars right onto my PB ( if this can be done ).save me having to sideload every time.
2. Also a history of what you have downloaded.
3. a list of recently updated playbook apps.

if ti think of any more i will let you know.

Yeah good ideas, i am looking to have some tools that will give a few things on the front page

"trending apps" right now i manually put apps here, it would be cool to auto post apps that truly are trending
"new apps" this will be truly new apps, any app we add in the system will appear here, and then put in the right spot automatically.
