Hey guys, just a curious question, which apps do you consistently have open on active frame regularly throughout the day, if any? And do you think it greatly impacts the battery life of your bb10 device?

It does reduce the battery life significantly, that's y I stopped leaving any apps in Active frames.

The only one I currently have open always is ClipMan.

In the past I've had Wallpaper Changer HD and BeBuzz Pro as other ones I've kept open. Since the SuperBar from Wallpaper Changer doesn't fit right on Z30, I haven't used the app as much.

CB10 is often left open so I can check for new blog posts to keep on news. Plus the Browser too, as I sometimes have a few tabs on the go. Browser tabs open eat up more RAM by a bit, so I try to keep that to a minimum. Doubt it actually affects performance either way with how smoothly BB10 seems to handle its resources, but old habits...

On the battery topic, the only one that seems to affect battery life somewhat was Wallpaper Changer if you're using the SuperBar, since it's basically changing the wallpaper for every 1% battery change, even though it's not actually changing the wallpaper image until scheduled.

Also watch out for some games that lock the screen on. Pause and walk away, come back later to find your screen is still on, your phone is hot, and your battery is (almost) dead!

Gadget box, for battery life display. Also easy access to the tools, use flash light and compass inside it often. Unfortunately it glitches sometimes after being open for a while

I recently downloaded Shaosoft's Notify Me App, which is a desktop notifier for texts, calls, and email. Unfortunately it needs to be kept open so I thought I might as well leave other apps open such as weather, and maybe browser

Keep none open all the time--simply open and close them as needed.

I don't leave any open, always open when needed.
Always thought whatever is open has to drain some amount of battery.
When I'm testing things I'll leave Battery Guru open.

I honestly don't feel Active frames can be fully utilized until they can be pinned to the top and possibly resized. I never really keep any open for the very reason that when you open more apps the set up is ruined. For example, the native 10.2.1 Weather app and Porsche Design clock are nice active frames to display whenever I'm strictly using the phone for communication strictly operating from the hub. Whenever multiple apps are open in addition they get pushed to the bottom or to the second layer, which completely defeats the purpose for me. But to answer the post, I would have to say Weather and Clock or whatever I'm doing at the time.
