We are starting beta testing for Version 2.0 of BeBuzz Pro for BlackBerry 10!

We are no longer accepting any more beta requests. My inbox quickly filled up with 250 requests this morning after Bla1ze blogged this up

Initial feedback shows that BeBuzz will only run reliably in headless mode on OS version 10.2.1.1xxx and up.

We would love to accept everyone, but the BlackBerry World sandbox has only limited spaces. I will try to accept as many as possible, first come first serve. I will send you a PM when accepted.

You will have to enable 'Development Mode' on your phone. You can find it in BlackBerry Settings > Security and Privacy > Development Mode. After I have added you to the sandbox, go to BlackBerry World, access the app menu by swiping down and select 'Settings'. Go to 'Development Mode', then enter the Content ID 26737875 and select Load.

If you get a 'Content not Found' error, please try again later (in 1 or 2 hours). It sometimes takes a little while before new releases are available.

Woot! Headless BeBuzz on the way!

What exactly does your second point mean, about the popups?

BeBuzz used to support LED, sound, text-to-speech, vibrate and popups for notifications. In Version 2 support for popups is no more. Headless apps are not allowed to popup messages on the screen.

Sorry, it's 2am here... I got it now!

I guess with 10.2's own notification toasts becoming standard most of your users won't mind anyway.

    Sending PM.

Please install over the old version. If you get any errors or problems then try uninstalling first (and let me know).

After you enter the content code, scroll down past the app description. You will see the version number. It should show 2.0.12. If it still shows 1.5.x you will have to wait 1 or 2 hours and try again.

I had the free version installed, closed the active frame, purchased the Pro/beta, and now BBW shows both the free and Pro versions installed.
