I've been kinda wondering this, maybe there is a way of tracking it. I checked my device monitor and there was a huge spike in mobile data from BBM.

Does BBM Channel's use much data?-img_20131230_194127.png

I was looking at channels for about 30 min during that spike. Seems a bit excessive for data consumption.

I don't think there is a way to sep. the data usage from BBM and BBM Channels. As for how much data it uses, well.... that's relative to you. If you subscribe to 5,000 channels of course you're going to use more data than someone who subscribes to 5.

Also depends on the channel. Some can contain a lot of high resolution images which will consume your data bandwidth.

I try to keep image sizes down on my channel for this very reason.

I was looking at some GIF channels, so I imagine that's why. I only have like 10 channels subscribed. Looks like I'll be deleting a couple.

I think it is important that we now have the capacity to see this and I tip my hat at OS 10.2.1.1925 for having this built in. I do tweet and bbm and God knows what during the evening and I am glad I have wifi.
