My Q10 has been 'double typing' since the start of December I basically got it on release day, I have already backed up my phone, im thinking to do a factory reset... after I do thats if I do a factory reset do I reload my data and it'll go back? Sorry, but all this is a weakspot for me. If you know a fix for this don't hesitate to respond, thank you.

Well you Could try loading the new leak, I don't believe a hard reset will help with your problem. There is a thread on hear about the same thing and maybe they have some better tips for you.

Slff, I hear the new OS 10.2.1 "rumoured" to come out early January so i'll wait until loading a leak, thanks for the response, but loading leaks and unscrewing my phone etc. is not risks i'll take, but thank youu for a response. (If you see my thank you, the 'uu' is what I mean, if some are confused)

Slff, thanks, I don't know if my phone is still on warranty i'll have to check as i'm not paying for something that I actually did not cause as it's not just me. This only started mid December. But do you know if i'll still have my data after factory reset when I reload from the BlackBerry link?

No the factory reset will wipe your phone clean. It will be like a brand new device.
    Yes it does.

No problem, sorry I couldn't help, by the way you know there is no difference between a leak and an official. At least on BB

If you backup corrupt data and restore, you run the risk of restoring a problem to your phone. Personally I only do a backup on a good running phone and I will only restore from one. I never ever restore a glitchy backup. Never. Ever.

You around this place to inquire with before I attempt my first factory reset ever? I bugged up the OS (I think) by aging a game via inputting the date and time manually and have thus, what I believe, caused all my security certificates to expire.....I have backed up in 6 different variations and am SUPER DUPER nervous about the outcome.

I guess what I want to hear is that if I restore with any of these 6 backups and end up back where I am (btw where I am is at having a completely non-functioning phone) that I'll be able to factory reset and try again until it works.

To resolve some battery drain issues I've been experiencing since my 10.2 OS update, I did a factory reset on my Verizon Q10 and it's been on some sort of update screen (black rectangle background, white icon of something and spinning circle) for almost 12 hours. Does it normally take this long?
