    So I bought a Q10 for my mom for christmas. Straight from the box, I plugged it in to charge and it charged fully while turned off. I then updated it with 1259 and now it will not charge while turned off. I have rebooted several times and tried different chargers including the standard BB charger, a playbook, and a Samsung one. All with the same result: no charge while off. Seems to charge fine while turned on. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix?

    I am not experiencing this issue at all. Not sure what could be causing it.

    There is more. I turned the phone on to finish charging it and the battery icon shows full (has the two little plug in prongs showing) but only indicates 97%.

    It probably hit full charge and started draining. All chargers do that. Once they hit full they start draining for a bit before beginning to charge again.

    You may want to turn the device off and THEN take the battery out and let is sit for several minutes. When you re-insert the battery it may resolve that issue ad everything re calibrates

    Mine only goes to 97% sometimes too. Not every time though.

    I will try this.

    I have never seen any of my devices start to discharge after a full charge. Although, I am not discounting that happening.

    LP_Rigg,

    This seems to have resolved the issue, following the battery pull, waiting several minutes, I reinstalled the batteries, turned them off and they charged normally and fully with a standard BB charger...to a full 100%.
