I got a new curve in february, and sold it on for a bold in september. as much as i like my bold, i know it wont be the in thing forever. My contract is for 18 months, which I think might be the product life of the bold before it's replacement shows up. so at the moment i think thats how long i'll keep it for. how about the rest of you? how often do you trade up?

im hoping the bold/curve 8900

will be my next phone for a LONG period of time

but RIM does have a tendency to push out not just new phones...but appealing colorways as well...:/

I'll keep it and get the Magnum or whatever else on eBay....the same way I purchased my 1st 8310 last October. My wife will probably keep her BOLD for the next two years.

This is my first REAL (working with data) BlackBerry I've owned. I'm a sucker for keeping things and beating them into the ground. Most of my normal cell phones last at least 3 years (unless they're broken or on their way out). I'll probably do the same here with the Bold, until the next greatest model comes out.

I'm personally rather happy with my Bold - when it actually works 100% correctly.

I'm more than likely to get an Android device for my next device though, as I am a software developer and the open source nature appeals to me.
iPhone 3G was a potential when I got my Blackberry, and I wish I had of gotten it to be honest, after the issues I've had with such poor service, and customer service from Orange. Only reason I didn't was the pure simplicity of the device put me off. I want function over form, and N96 would have been perfect if it was available at the time.

So my next device will be a Nokia (something along the lines of Tube of N96) or an Android device.

That's tough to say. This question make me think about the new girlfriend syndrome... where I already know that this won't last forever before it's even begun.

So, I guess the answer is; for as long as I can stand it; until it starts to fall apart; until something better comes along. In the mean time I'm gonna make the best of this relationship and stay loyal while gettin some on a daily basis.

Honestly I love my CURVE the only reason I'm getting the BOLD is because it does not have 3G!!
So I think I will keep my BOLD for a good time. (when I finally get it )
