So today all of a sudden my BBM has stopped working. When I try and send a message to my contact, all of my contacts, I get a Little read square with a clock inside it. Doesn't matter who all my contacts return the same little red clock when tryng to send a message. I have turned my phone off. Turned it back on. I have toggled WiFi on and off going to my phones data connection and still nothing.

I am using BBM for Android on my HTC One. I have never had this issue until today.

    Anyone else.

Problem confirmed. BBM works between BlackBerry devices but if either end is Apple or Android it fails. Looks like a server problem.

Okay it's reassuring that I am not the only one having this issue. According to Branta above it is a server issue. I just hope the have a fix soon.

I know of 2 iPods that went down. Made the mistake of uninstalling the app thinking that reinstalling would clear up the problem. No such luck. That iPod got stuck when trying to reload BBM. I can also confirm that BBM is still working on 2 Blackbery 9800 Torch phones and a 8530 Curve. I hope it gets fixed soon.

No issues here in Canada, In fact at the time of the OP, I was sending and receiving BBMs to someone on an Android Device.

Hopefully it doesn't hit you. Because it has been a big issue for the last few hours here in the states. And many iOS users are having the same problem from looking around and going onto twitter.

Telling us your carrier would help narrow down issues

My carrier is Sprint but it doesn't seem to be a Sprint issue because everything else works. Email, internet browsing all works. It is just BBM that is having this issue. And looking at Twitter and other areas it seems to be affecting many people.

    Yeah same deal here.

3 Sprint HTC One devices running BBM and none of them can communicate with the others...

I'm seeing a checkmark in BBM from BlackBerry to other device types, which means it made it as far as the server but not as far as the recipient device. BBM from (at least Android) non-BB devices gets a red clock which means it has not yet left the device. That points totally at a failure in the servers.

Once again BlackBerry gets another network failure, more bad news to depress the stock prices ahead of the financial report tomorrow. This is becoming too routine to be coincidence.

Not a carrier issue, the new BBM servers are hosted by BlackBerry.
