I am using the mouse and keyboard of my laptop to write this post.
All You need is to pair and connect your PC to the BlackBerry, open Bluetooth device control and click Connect in Remote Keyboard and Mouse.
No USB hubs, No additional Bluetooth keyboards and mouse.. just your laptop.

Here is a step by step instruction:
After you have Paired your device with your PC.

    Step 1:
    Locate your device in PC
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers
    Controlling Z10 - Remote Mouse and Keyboard-step-2.png

    Step 2:
Double click on your device icon to access Device Bluetooth Control
    Controlling Z10 - Remote Mouse and Keyboard-step-3.png

    Step3:
Click Connect in Remote Keyboard and Mouse
    Controlling Z10 - Remote Mouse and Keyboard-step-4.png

    And you are done.

Hmm... indeed very interesting. Thanks for the heads up! Perhaps they're playing around with the whole "mobile computing" idea and also looking at communication directed the other way (i.e. to the mobile device?)

I would assume that's what's going on here. They aren't idle on the mobile computing thing, are they?

Well, they certainly aren't marketing anything very actively. More like IMmobile.

Lol! I meant playing around with other possible implementations of "mobile computing," since what the OP described is technically working opposite to what BlackBerry is allegedly hoping to achieve with their mobile computing vision.

Though, it could also be used as an alternative to the Z10/Q10 not having USB-OTG functionality. Still though, seems kinda counterproductive to use a laptop/desktop keyboard/mouse to control the mobile device, since the phone is supposed to be powering everything else.

Why do you need the USB connected? That's what the bluetooth is for...

It would be nice if I could bridge from any BB phone to another. For example I can bridge from my Curve 9320 to my Playbook but not my Z10. With the Z10 having HDMI I would like a simple way of remotely controlling it from a distance e.g. when watching a video or showing a presentation.

After you pair your laptop's kb and mouse, can you still control your laptop? Or do you have to disable bluetooth to get them back from the Z10?

Did you have to get drivers from somewhere? My Q10 can't install fully:

As a result, double clicking on the phone icon brings this up:

    Don't know what to say.
I see that you have SMS Option which i do not have.
Maybe this all depends on the Bluetooth module of the PC

Yeah, mine came up lame, too. But I've got a bt dongle for the computer and it has always been problematic when it searches for Drivers.

This seems to be new in Windows 8... In Windows 7 I only get Music and PIM Sync as available bluetooth services. If anyone with Windows 7 has figured this out, let me know! Looks really cool!

It could also be a driver issue. I have a Dell laptop and have tried to update my Bluetooth driver. I gained a "Send Files" link in my Bluetooth Services, but no Keyboard/Mouse or SMS options.
