If you are not using the speaker to produce sound, I really don't see what difference it could make......but what do I know, I'm not a doctor.

Im guessing it uses more battery to make ringtones and tones louder. Then the opposite can be said if the phones volume is quieter.

Why would it kill battery if it's not using anything?

But what I would think though is that having the volume on full like that could damage the speaker or whatever output device you are using

Like I keep it down , and just turn it up easily for instagram videos etc, but I was just wondering if I could keep it up so I do r have to adjust it all the time

Unless there is sound, it will not make a difference. But there are 2 senarios:

    1) you have it up and music blasting or ring tones going off etc. = Kills battery faster.

    2) you have it all the way up and your phone is on silent and the speakers aren't being used... so why not turn the volume off...?

No it won't kill your battery, if anything it will take away 5 minutes of your battery time by the end of the night.

Turning on your phone will drain more battery than having your volume on max.

Yes, by about 0.000001% if your phone never rings, but if it does, than definitely

I don't think not will....unless you are playing something at max volume all the time.

If your volume is on and you have your ring tones on, it will only waste battery when the speakers are being used.

The amount of battery that is being used is minimum, and is not something to be worrying about

Are you using the speaker to play music or talk on the phone? All depends on what you're doing. If the volume is simply "up" and you're not using the device for anything, it doesn't matter what the volume is in.
