I am a small business owner with 6 lines on Verizon and 2 on ATT. I have tried 3 separate times to touch and use a Z30 at stores and even tried to port one ATT Q10 to a new Verizon Z30. I was disconnected 3 times while waiting on line with the Business phone service and I was unable to older through the web as it told me to call.

Blackberry, wake up. Your biggest problem with the Z30 in the US is Verizon!

But when your sole, exclusive outlet for the Z30 has NO available in store stock ANYWHERE in NYC and one cannot get the carrier on the phone or on web to help you then you may as well close shop. Really, BB, I am here, I have cash, I WANT A Z30. HOW THE HECK DO I GET ONE? This is a very interesting business model. By the way, I have no money owed and I am an EXISTING Verizon customer.

I never complain without a solution. BB, you need to sell the Z30 on your web page direct to folks like me. Here is my answer. Contact me. I will buy one FULL PRICE right now. Come on, gauntlet is thrown down. Get rid of these clowns holding us apart. They ain't your friend or mine.

Exactly, the phone carriers aren't doing them ANY favors. What the hell is the point of having an exclusive with a carrier that won't show your product in store? How in the world does that benefit BlackBerry? Screw the carriers and sell it on your website. You are absolutely right. In essence all they are doing, at least in the U.S is preventing loyal BlackBerry customers from buying their device. They are absolutely tying their own hands. Screw the carriers. Sell it on your website BlackBerry. Bytheway MGO, the Z30 is awesome.

I am really tired of spending 45 minutes on a phone being shuttled to two different specialists who are automatons and NOT in the right department and tell me that they are connecting me to the right department (I called the Business Number on the website which is also on my monthly invoice) and followed all prompts (with multiple notices that the choices had changed and that the conversation may be recorded for "quality assurance" - what a joke) and then getting disconnected each time. Blackberry, HELLO? CEO, HELLO? Anyone interested in my little business of 8 total phones all of which I want to switch to Z30 one at a time? Any one want to call my up? Text me? Email me? How the heck can I get this phone through the joker's you have allowed to be your sole and exclusive representative in the US? By the way I am in no way affiliated with any competitor to Verizon. I am a small business owner who just LOVES your BB10 devices for office productivity and wants to use the Z30. Why is this so damn hard? Rant over. But offer stands. I will buy one device today, now, for cash, credit card, PayPal, wampum if BB can get it in my hands.

Unfortunately, I need to port the ATT number over to the Z30 and I need to interact with Verizon to do this. But thanks anyway. Just amazing to me that Verizon is so incapable of adequately servicing me as a Business customer and that BlackBerry has abdicated customer service to these clowns.

Lol, op should not complain about BlackBerry but think about his business relationship to Verizon

I mean I would switch to some other provider if my old provider drops my calls. I expect a real person to manage my inquiries directly.

Something is wrong with US mobile!

I've been fortunate with on the rare occasion I need help from a rep at Verizon, I think it's just hit or miss. As far as the NYC stores being out of stock, I'd say that maybe that's not a bad thing per se.... more demand for the device than blackberry planned, not bad news considering the times blackberry has had in the past.

The Z30 is absolutely 100% available to order online or through the phone. I ordered mine this morning. The internet and phone sales reps have inventory from warehouses all over. The stores can only order from the two closest warehouses. You have zero chance of finding one in a store or the store ordering for you. however, i promise if you call Verizon Sales you can order one. Shipping 2-3 ground is free and overnight is 19.99

Sent from my dusted off 9930 while waiting for my Z30 to get here!

Over the past year or so, carriers in the US have been distancing themselves from BlackBerry and relationships just aren't what they use to be. With huge drops in sales, carriers just don't care anymore especially considering BlackBerry makes up a very small amount of their consumer base. Still interested to see how their smb and enterprise accounts are fairing though.

Buy the phone from Amazon. Take it to any Verizon store and have them move the number from AT&T. This is not complicated.
I am trying to understand why you would need to port the ATT phone number over to the Z30 because since you are buying the Z30 unlocked don't you just have to put your ATT sim card into the Z30 and it should work? The sim card should contain your ATT phone number.

BlackBerry carrier relations ain't what it used to be, now even their biggest carrier supporter Verizon is distancing themselves with handset sales. This needs to change in order to help the company grow. Carriers have too much control over the devices presently, we can't even get a decent update on time

I think, and I could be wrong, that the one and only reason the op is attempting to transfer to Verizon is for the BlackBerry z30, I think his point was that it is unnecessary to do so.

Although it is unnecessary to transfer to Verizon, I am trying to do so to take advantage of some of the Verizon benefits (better coverage for me) and to move away from ATT which is definitely phasing out BB. I have purchased a Z30 and will try to add it to Verizon but my point still is that Blackberry needs to wake up. ATT ain't carrying the Z30 and Verizon is doing everything possible to NOT carry it while offering it for sale. Imagine if BB went the Nexus 4/5 route. Direct sales and then customers just initiate service on their preferred service provider. I effectively had to do this even though I have accounts with both ATT and Verizon. This would de-emphasize the carriers and would enable the customer and BB.

Will be getting Z30 in AM. Hope Big Red can see their way to getting my number transfered over to the new Z30. Soon I am sure Big Red is going to have me do my own billing and charge me for it! It is encouraging to see that I am not the only one who has noticed that ATT is not supporting BlackBerry. Two threads commenting on their dearth of BlackBerry product both on display and in stock.

I have AT&T and not only are they not going to carry the z30 but they steer customers away from blackberry. On several occasions I have gone into local AT&T stores and inquired about bb phones and always get the same response "they're going out of business" None of the local Verizon stores have the z30 in stock. Both carriers have their bb phones buried in the back of the store. Since Verizon is the only carrier to pick up the z30 blackberry is only offering the Verizon version on their website. I don't understand why they're not selling an unlocked GSM model that would be compatible with AT&T and t-mobile. The conspiracy theorist in me, suspects AT&T and Verizon . Would like nothing more than for bb to go under. Bb is the most secure phone & system out there, the use their own system, and encryption. When you use bb you are practically bypassing your carrier. I think that's a huge pain for the carriers and probably less profitable. Not to mention the NSA would probably like to see any phone they can't hack disappear.

    mgo,

Do you have the contact information for the verizon regional rep in your area? I have learned if you want to get something done on Verizon and you can not get it done through the entry level channels, then one phone call to the regional or state rep gets it done.
