So earlier I wanted to search in the hub for "Allen" and typed "All" and found deleted messages showing up in the results.

    Is it only me?

Just tried it and I too am seeing deleted messages. Interesting. I am not sure if this is good or bad since it also showed a lot of deleted text messages.

Is it possibly pulling results from remote search, and those are messages still on the server? Just a thought.

I have my settings on my @work email to delete on server on my primary machine. So when I delete them from my laptop/deleted folder they should be gone. But, interestingly, some of those have showed up on search in BB.

Cool. I went to the bottom of the list and found an old tweet from January 16, 1970.

It appears to be a shortcut to retrieve all messages. Seems to me that the hub has a hidden folder which saves all messages, whether deleted or not, and it retrieves them when you type "all" into the search box. Personally, I think this is great because if I need to look at something I've deleted I can find it this way. But for someone who deletes things they don't want others to see, this might not be such a good thing.

But... twitter wasn't even around in the 70s... your phone seems to have ripped a whole in the space time continuum...

Also, I see deleted messages too.

What's cool is if you desire, you can long press on the date that you want to delete from and it highlights all the messages/emails, etc and then you can delete them. Nice feature to have actually.

I agree it is cool. However I can't delete any of the text messages. It gives me the option to delete but they remain? Any thoughts people?

Is it possible that your deleted messages are going into a trash folder and it's pulling them from there?

It doesn't do it for me.

I can delete them that way, but when I go back to search they still appear.

It could be a neat feature, but as it stands it is a security flaw. Not a problem if you don't ever let someone use your phone to make a call etc... But when I delete, I want to delete not archive.

I delete all my emails, texts etc daily and remotely save what I want to keep.

Just so you know delete never ment remove from store. It just removes the file pointer in the drive index. All files still exist

I discovered this a few days ago myself...disturbing, as I get text messages that I really don't want other folks seeing, sometimes. Admittedly, the chances I'd allow them unrestricted access to my phone is slim, but what if I'm planning to bury my wife in the desert my wife's surprise birthday party? I wouldn't want that to be discoverable in court later her to possibly find out how much I spent....

I agree PJD642. Very disturbing. Also if you type in the contacts name in search hub or text messages you will get messages only from that contact. I also agree it's only a problem if someone that you would rather not happens to get into the phone. There must be a way to permanently delete these? Anyone have a solution?

I'm only seeing deleted text messages, not deleted emails. Probably because I have emails set to delete from server. I clicked on a deleted text and tried to delete permanently. No go.

Anybody come up with a solution for this or is it just a bug of the leak that we have to live with?

I think its a side effect of the leak.
I'm running the official OS and when I type all either in global search or HUB search I'm not seeing any deleted messages text or otherwise

i discovered this a few days ago as well, I am on the 10.2.1 leak, I do not think this is a good thing. I think you can deleted the messages one be one from he search screen and they will disappear. Seems to be working, but I can not delete all.
