So I went a little crazy when I saw the $.99 movie sale and bought 15-20 of them. Immediately ran out and bought the 64gb Sandisk SDXC card that is recommended in these forums. The phone did not recognize exFAT, but reformatted to FAT32 without an issue. So I start downloading the movies, and they will not download smoothly. They choke up mid-download and cause file system errors which gets recognized as "other data". It appears the only way for me to download the movies is 1-2 at a time into the device memory, then move them over to the card. Anyone else experiencing this or have a resolution. It's really a pain right now and doesn't make sense to me.

I download movies one at a time and they always go to my card. That's really weird.

I had the same issue. Not sure what the problem is. Moved all my data to my laptop (except the aborted movie transfers - I bought 3), reformatted my card in the Z10, placed the data back on the card from my laptop (excluding the purchased movie files), downloaded the movies one at a time to my Z10, and then moved the files to my card.

All 3 movies play without error now, there's no phantom "other data" eating up GBs of space on my Z10 or my card, and the downloads went a LOT faster going directly to the device. Yeah, it's somewhat inconvenient taking the time to do all that so I hope someone posts a better solution.

I never had an issue with my 32gb class 4 card, just ran out of space.

    Z10 spec's sheet says:
    Expandable memory
Removable microSD memory card slot under battery door (Up to 32 GB)

    maybe yours is too big??

Karen, 64's work fine after format. The spec list may have been written before the 64 was out and tested. Patriot is by far the best for me as I did some inquiring at my local electronic superstore a while ago and discovered that Patriot had the best no-return numbers. I have been using them now for 5 years in my Canon and Panasonic still and video cameras, 8330's, 8530's, Z10's. (have more than one of each of these) and zero failures.

I think it's because it's not supposed to take 64 gb, only up to 32

Just to be sure, have you checked your BBW settings to make sure the setting to save downloads to your card is on, and if you are not using wifi, that it's data and network settings are set appropriately? I've downloaded several movies directly to both the 64gb class 10 card I have in my Q10 and the one in my Z10 (both are Samsung) without problem (except for 1 movie that for a few days said my license had expired and that I needed to repurchase the movie, but that problem was subsequently resolved).

I just returned the 64gig back to Crackberry. My Z10 would not recognize it and would not format it - the format option was grayed out. It is the card others have recommended. So I have no idea what the issue was. I might try another 64gig in the future.

Honestly, I try and avoid Sandisk as I usually have problems with their products. But I saw too many recommendations so I decided to give it a shot. Again, I don't know if the problem is the card, the OS or BBW.

My settings are to use Wi-Fi only and to download to the card. Like I said, I don't have issues downloading to the device memory, just the card.

I'm assuming that when you reformatted the media card you did so using your BB and not your computer. If not, you might try reformatting the card that way then doing a hard restart using the volume keys method. Beyond that, the only thing I can think of is trying a different media card unless someone else has another idea. I hope you can get the problem resolved!

I have two Samsung 64gb sdxc media cards that I got off Amazon for a little less (each). Haven't had any problems with either and they were both recognized and formatted in my BB10 devices. Just be sure to look carefully at both the description and the phots of what you are buying as they don't always match depending on the vendor, and some say Samsung in the description but the photo shows a generic or store branded card. They are also available on Newegg, so you can compare prices. I went with Samsung Pro model as it had a sgnificantly faster write spec then the SanDisk class 10 64gb card, though I have no idea whether the BB is able to use the faster speed.

on my bold 9990 I can save movie down load to the device or media card from the Internet.
However I don't have that capability on the Z10! With of without 32 gig memory card :/
So it is a case of transfering saved down load media to my Z10 By nfc.....come on blackberry this is 2013/14 smh!
Try listening and show some action, loyalty is also conditional.
