I have a Q10, and my girlfriend has one as well. When she holds down any letter when to make a capital letter it works. When I hold down the same letter to get a capital I just get multiple letters all lower case. The settings are the same on both devices. (For example hhhhhhhhhhh rather than a H)

This is driving me nuts and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Any help would be great

Bad keyboard I believe. I had to change out my keyboard a few times. On the Z30 and love it

I feel it just started after we had that issue with the sensors on all the devices. But I could be mistaken

This has just started happening to me too, although i've owned my Q10 since May last year and I cannot see any way to toggle this in the settings menus.

Is there a way around this?

Double check your language and country settings as you have inadvertently activated an incorrect language pack.

Hi cellphonejunkey,

I do not believe this is an issue with language packs or country / region settings. I am set to English (UK) for keyboard/language/region and these settings have not changed since I set up my Q10 last year. I have tried changing all these settings anyway but this doesn't make a difference.

I think this started happening after an OS update to 10.2.0.424

Is there some secret keyboard shortcut or something to enable this??

My Q10 just started doing this with the 'i' button after months of use. Very irritating!

My z button just got hyper sensitive. Had it since May. Going to try calling my carrier to see what they can do.

Update: talked with carrier this morning and replacement Q10 is on order!

So a new OS update to 10.2.1.537 became available today, i've installed it and the problem has disappeared and I can now hold a key to capitalise again.

Guys , I am also facing the same issue of stuttering , two more friends in my groups also facing the same issue , the only way to get its done is to go to the Blackberry service centre & get it repaired , its a hardware issue for sure.
this issue was also faced by the 9780 Bold users.
