    Z10 running 1055 leak.

All I can say is that as each day goes on, it crashes a lot more and freezes.

    Disappointed :/

Wish BlackBerry were quicker releasing official OS updates.

    Sick of this one.

    Rant over!

I think you have a dodgy app then as mine is rock solid now. No issues, good battery, cpu still cooks when gaming but that's it.

Don't blame BB for the official OS being delayed. The carriers are the ones that delay the release by testing it. If BB could they would by pass the carriers completely.

Why don't you just downgrade to a better one?

why don't you find out how to make a clean install? Seems like you did "dirty" install.
Try use cfp wipe before you install the leak with its autoloader, and don't restore application data.

I've had little to no issues with 1055. Try doing a security wipe and reload. That should help you out.

Guys why should a data restore corrupt an install?

The only thing I have done wrong according to the forums is to do a restore.

This should not be the case.

It takes a while to reload then Backup & restore...

Why not try a fresh install and don't restore anything. Don't load any android apps and then see if there's an improvement.

Been using 1055 as my daily driver since it came out. Haven't had a single problem. I'm going to assume that you did a restore after you installed the leak and didn't security wipe

Check the contacts...... if you have a lot of them and if they are linked and share some details such as phone numbers, then it gets into a massive mess. Some contacts disappear and some swell up after linking others into themselves.

The PIM services burn the battery and the phone feels hot even though we have a snow storm going on. All this can be seen in the Device Monitor.

Sensor gate hasn't helped and that's been my experience with 1055.

Am just waiting out the storm till a new releaseleak comes out and manages to fix the PIM. I just bought an external battery pack to help with the battery burn periods.

Reloading is not am easy option with the amount of data . And from a SW viewpoint, it sounds like the MS Windows Control Alt Delete routine of 20 years fame

Restore causes problems with leaks. Sometimes you luck out, most times you don't. That is the pitfall of using leaks.

What they mean is that there is a corrupt file in one of your previous backup files. The best way to resolve this is to load an OS like 1809 and redo everything from scratch. And I mean everything. Then after your all setup, create a brand new backup. Then load the 1055 leak and restore your new backup. I would also create a new backup for the 10.2.1 OS. This way you have a backup for both OS branches. It takes time but it should correct the restore issues.

Using OS10.0, 10.1, or 10.2.0 data over OS 10.2.1.1055 isn't recommended for this OS. Nothing from the previous OS' work well over 1055, except contacts, passwords, and notes, because 1055 is completely different than it's predecessors. Save yourself the headache, and just wipe your device. Save your contacts with any app that allows a local backup to SD. You're frustrating yourself doing things "the same way".

What about all my music and pics and stuff. That's gonna take me forever as some stuff is on the SD and some is on the phone.

Ideally I need a bigger card and keep everything on the sd.

I don't even like putting stuff on my phone. Apps I can understand....

That's the more safe solution. If your device fails you, your sensitive data is on SD.

I'm one more agreeing that installing backed up app data on this leak will cause you problems. I've seen it myself. Just don't do it. I've had some Android compatibility issues, but the only real problem I've had with this build is lame battery life.

I've started recharging after about four hours with this leak, because the battery was already in the teens. That was with a lot of BBM use and surfing. I usually start the day with my phone charged and charge it once more to get a full day of use.

    Dont use leaks.

If BBRY were a half decent developer solid upgrades would be pushed out quarterly.

Last 6 months has all been about selling the company, everything else has been on a slow simmer on the back burner of impending doom.
