Why hasn't BlackBerry updated BB10 OS to allow users to swipe up a active frame app to close it? They did it with the Playbook. Its a fast and fun way to close apps. It would make a super sweet addition to any OS update.

    Just my thoughts.

I'm wondering this myself. Right now closing an app takes 2 step, I'd like to be able to close an app by swiping all the way up or close an active frame by swiping up.
loved that feature on my PB

Don't get me wrong, I love that feature on the playbook, however based on how the OS currently operates, how would you be able to scroll through your active frames without closing any app.
I'm one of those users that tends to have 6 apps running at once.

If your holding the screen and move up it moves to the next set of running app

If you flick up it closes it

I think this could be done

You're right, I don't usually have more than 4 apps opened at once, so I haven't thought about that.
But I'd still like to be able to close an opened app (not an active frame) by some sort of a swipe motion

What is when youre closing an app and swiping up from the bottom you could just keep going up and close an app that way?

Exactly what I think should be implemented. Or something like swipe up and left

My thoughts exactly. Pressing the x is fine if you're shutting down active frames. But when you are inside an app you should have 2 options, to swipe up from the bottom bezel ,half way to minimize to active frames or carry on all the way to the top to completely close it.

So long hold to browse through your running apps?

That seems like a long step to get to your apps and wouldn't that be counter productive towards the multitasking that the active frames offers?

I may have also misunderstood what you were getting at.

    This I like.

I could see you possibly closing an app that you didn't want to, but maybe they could implement a 3/4 screen safety net process

Or just swipe up a bit then left. Like that it's faster on bigger screens and there be less accidents of closing an app

Let's say you have all 8 apps running
When you swipe up you see the first four

Placing your finger on the screen and move up as soon as you release the next four appear ,reverse to go down.

If you placed your finger on a particular app and flicked up it would close

I think it could work. There are other good ideas above too

Makes sense to me, however I much like most people really only ever use my thumb when browsing through my phone. The only time my other digits hit the screen is either when i'm typing or zooming in, and well gaming.

I could see the full swipe up from a current running app working well.

Who knows what future updates will bring.

They have to move the active screens side by side first. Then they can include this feature.
