What OS do you have installed? I have had Kik on every version of OS, and sending pics never posed a problem?

On OS 10.2.1.1055, I have a fully functional Kik experience.

This is really strange. I have had Kik since my first day with the Q10 in May and every Kik version i've ever installed couldn't send pictures. I mean, I could select to send a photo, I could have seen the status of the message (S/D/R) but on the photo I had a small "retry" button. The person I was sending the photo always received it, but in a very very low quality (like forcing the small preview to be seen on the whole screen).
I am using Q10SQN100-3/10.2.1.1055 and I have the latest Google play kik.apk installed and the problem is still here. I've tried all the normal solutions from reinstalling the app to wiping the system. Also, on 10.2.1.1055's runtime, Kik is sometimes buggy (closes unexpectedly, doesn't have internet connexion etc) . I believe that on 10.1 official MR with debug token it worked much better (no hq picture transfer, though) or even on the official 10.2 (the one with locked runtime), my problems (except photos) with it appeared since the 10.2.1.xxxx leaks.
I know you are a more advanced user (and I see you're also a Kik user), so I was thinking that you could provide some further information about the situation, which to me looks like a dead end.

BBM doesn't work on android 2.3 or older, and I do have some really important friends having a legacy samsung/lg android device which would upgrade to bbm, but until they buy a new phone, they'll have to stay on Kik (which btw is somehow refreshing and nice when you use bbm to often).

I had this same problem, made a post http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-an...loaded-869707/ about it a couple of months ago. I tried all the android run times & every Kik APK version & still couldn't get it to work. I think it is a lost cause.

Try this one, I believe it's latest, https://app.box.com/s/nq4gp20q6zn38be0eosb and I have no issues with my Kik...

EDIT: does tell me to retry, with the retry arrow, but it still sends, and reaches it's destination
