Hello,

I have an STL100-1 and I just got a STL100-3. I simply want to transfer my apps and games and game save data and the pictures (which are on the SD card) and not the settings, or the Hub or the accounts.

How can I do this?

BB Link can backup and restore certain things. I'm not sure of game data unless you backup/restore settings. Apps can be downloaded again if you use the same BBID on the new device. Where are your photos/media? Internal or on the sdcard? Move to card and then move the card.

Yeah, photos isn't the issue. Just apps, app settings, games and their saved data is all I want.

Oh, one CAUTION, if your sdcard is encrypted, decrypt on the current phone otherwise data will be lost as the new phone will not be able to decrypt it.

Thankfully unencrypted! But if it was though, I'd surely have forgotten ... so thanks a ton!
Either way can't proceed unless someone knows how I can just transfer apps, app data, games and game saves..

Games/apps have to be downloaded again using the same bbid, don't think game saves transfer. App data depends on if the app has a backup function which saves to sd and can be restored on new phone.

Everything backs up using BlackBerry Link, including saved games, app data and everything, including passwords in the password keeper app, I tend to remove the media card before I wipe or anything like it just in case, that way the data in it whether it's encrypted or decrypted stays safe

You can choose what you want it to backup/restore. Just check the box marked "Application Data" to transfer your apps, games and game save data, and leave the "Media" and "Settings" boxes un-checked. The photos, being on your SD card, won't be touched by BB Link, and you can simply switch the card over to the new phone.

That seems like a logical answer to my question. But does Application data also include texts/settings/hub, etc?

Accounts isn't the issue though.
I really don't wanna see anything in the hub or texts.
