I Think This is going to be a Useful tool.

Converting Your Bar Files into Apk(s)
- This is a Very easy app, no need to worry about how o use

HOW TO USE :
1- Right click on the Box
2- add Bar files
3- Click Convert bar files
4- goto the same directory as the bar file and you will find the apk with the same name of the bar file
OR
right click on the bar file name in the Box and Click "Open Directory"

SO I downloaded this and unzipped it. However, when I click on the application to open it, i get a message that says it stopped working and I have to close it. I can't seem to open the app and get the same screen you have there. Could you check this out please?

You got farther than I did.
The program asks for permissions to make changes to the computer but never actually loads anything.
I swear if this is a virus I will hunt you down.
A scan revealed nothing.

The more I think about it, the less this program seems useful

If I need to convert a bar on the computer, I may as well sideload it.
Now of it could do this on device,you'd be playing with power.

But this would be nice for people who sideload. I mean I don't need to because i can load directly on the device. But too bad its not working as advertised.

What I mean is, if I have a bar, the only point in making it an apk is so I can install it without Side loading.
If I have to put the bar on my laptop, then use this software to make an apk and copy it to my phone to install, why don't I just use my laptop and sideload the thing??
It's less steps and I'm already at the computer.

Is this still being supported? I've downloaded both versions, and every time it's opened (in admin mode) just says 'BAR to APK Converter has stopped working'. I have tried all compatibility modes.

My question is, why the heck would I want to covert a bar file to an apk file? BlackBerry uses bar files as their native applications. Why would I as a BlackBerry user want to change my BlackBerry apps into Android apps?

Eg. Because I no version Sachesi (10.10 Mac and Win 8.1) does not see my Z10 and I have directly in your phone to install as apk.

Also because u could keep the apk file on ur SD card and install or reinstall without a computer.

Not sure why BlackBerry doesn't have support from within BlackBerry 10 for installing bar files.

I think BlackBerry wants to maintain some measure of control over apps using it's native cascades format. It has no control over what Android apps people install, however as we all know, you have to manually set the device to allow the installation of non BlackBerry apps, thus taking on full responsibility if something goes wrong afterwards. Once you set your device to allow android apps to install directly, BlackBerry assumes no liability.
