What do you mean by tether? Using a cord and connecting your BB to your computer and then using it as a modem and sharing it's data connection? Or a via Bluetooth doing the same thing? Or using the hotspot feature? What kind of plan do you have with Verizon? One of the older legacy unlimited plans or one of the newer plans? The newer plans include hotspot and tethering I believe but with the legacy unlimited plans you must pay extra.

Or do you mean this app....

Yes, I'm talking tether.com... but any other options would be great.

With tether.com, I was able to physically tether my 9930 to the PC and be on the 'net. Slightly inconvenient, but that works.

Otherwise, any cool way to get the q10 to work as a connection to the internet would be cool.

I have an old unlimited plan. The new plan (that has the built in "hotspot") sounds nice, but it has severely limited data AND costs more that what I have.

Ok with Tether the app, you will need to change over to the Android version IF you can and see if that works. I don't know AND sideload it. BIG Ifs, but the BB version will not work as it's a java app. Tether never made a BB10 version, but they DO have an android app.

When I say tether I mean turn the BlackBerry into a router or hotspot without incurring Verizon tether recharges..

Since I have unlimited data Verizon would not let me use my phone as a hotspot so I need to be able to turn off the Verizon like in the Escreen Menu

Since we currently have NO way to tether (for free), I'm happy with ANY option.... whether it requires a usb cable or wifi hotspot.

The E-screen looks interesting.... will need to see if it works on the latest OS for Verizon.

On the 1055 leak I can access the hotspot feature with no issues. I haven't used it yet but it doesn't direct me to change my plan like before..

No escreen needed. Just from settings click on networks and connections - mobile hotspot

That I don't know, maybe someone else can verify. When I had a rooted note 2 it also allowed access to hotspot feature and I didn't have to add hotspot to my plan. Haven't had a chance to use it on my q10 yet.
